I keep seeing all these questions on here about how this one cheated on me, or I like this guy and he likes me, but he is in a relationship. Whatever happened to one person, being with one person, and not looking elsewhere.

I DOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

There isn't anyone I love more than my spouse and then my children. I can't even begin to think about cheating on my husband. He is who I chose to spend my life with and don't care to endanger that with some other mans desires.

My husband means everything to me even though I can live without him. I don't want to and, therefore, won't mess it up with anyone else.

Yes, Virginia, there is monogamy.

dishonest includes mendacity. Poly relationships are common. definite, monogamy is annoying. as a results of fact of this it replaced into compelled on societies via possibility of dying for one in each and every of those great variety of years or maybe then, human beings cheated like mad. I say that as an completely monogamous spouse. It comes extra clearly to me to be monogamous than it does for a great variety of the human beings i've got spoken with on the venture, even though it does take artwork. For some peole monogamy sounds like a dying sentence or a minimum of a visit to the dentist. To me that's romantic, functional, erotic and somewhat relatively worth the artwork. that does no longer advise i'm top or they're incorrect. It ability that's a stable venture that we can all create the relationships we could like in our very own very own lives and that's no person elses business enterprise yet our lover's / enthusiasts'.

hun. i have been with my husband for 8 wonderful years. we have had our ups and downs but he is my bestfriend in the entire world. There is no way that i could live without him in some way in my life. I have a friend who just left her husband this past weekend because she is always looking at other people and wondering what it would be like with someone else. Now that she is going to divorce him she thinks that it is ok to act on her feelings. The husband is torn up about the whole thing and they have a son together. The wife is turning 21 and i think that has a lot to do with it. Disfunctional relationships growing up is also a factor for this behavior. but i am all about manogaomy. If i wasnt what would that teach my two daughters?

I believe on this site there are many High School and College Students, some falling in love for the first time. And teenage love is very strong and powerful ..
But, when their fairy tail ends, I believe that this site offers the opportunity, for the one who is feeling rejected to be able to share his or her feelings with others, and find out they are not alone..
I don't think monogamy has anything to do with it..It's just part of growing up!

I agree with you the union of a monogamous couple has been blown' away like dust in the wind these days. It is so sad to see all these people missing out on what a real one on one relationship has to offer. It seems most people now are so wishy washy they just don't know what they want. Messing with people who are already in relationships is asking for trouble. I mean come on if they care so little about their spouse or whoever that they are seeing you behind their back what kind of relationship can you really expect to have?

Just because you believe in monogamy doesn't mean you don't meet people.

You seem to think monogamy = marrying the first person you date and never meeting anyone else the rest of your life.

Monogamy actually means one sexual partner at a time. If you are monogamous, you are dedicated to one partner. That's not to say that you won't meet someone else and become monogamous to them instead. Its merely saying that you are committed to a single relationship at a time.

There are a lot of people out there who marry before living, or just shouldn't be in a committed relationship. I think there are still a few of us in the world who believe in finding that one person. I found it. He knows he found it before we even kissed. Neither of us doubts the other one. But it does seem like every TV show, movie, and question out there shows someone cheating or thinking about cheating... Its kind of depressing.

I really wish everyone did, the world would be such a happier place. I don't know if people don' t think abou the risks of cheating.. STD's, how hurt the other person feels. I don't understand why people can't be happy with just one person.

ME ME ME!

Sure, polygamy probably has its advantages in terms of fun, but at what cost (jealousy, disease, broken hearts, etc.)? Monogamy DOES have its advantages, too, like knowing you are more committed and connected to one person than anyone else in the world.

I really dont have the problem..
In the past guys with girlfriends have tried to get with me but I just simply let them know that they are not the "type" of guy I wont. If these guys have girlfriends and there trying to talk to other women they are low quality men.
