I was married to a great man who took care of my daughter (wasn't his, but loved her as his own, and pays support for her on his own accord, I've asked for nothing) we grew apart and now I am married to a man that has a harpie for an ex girlfriend who has 2 children. Even though they are not his, the laws in Canada makes him pay child support. The amount you can't even believe!!! I feel horrible for any young man that gets involved with a woman who has children, and in this day in age it almost seems impossible.

I have just recently come across some old oil co. If a larger oil co. bought out these smaller companies years ago and I still have thier stock certificates are the worth anything? Most of these stocks are from the early 1900s. What would be my first step in cashing them in or finding out what they are worth?

still comes around mom. she is not asking for cild support and the handi. kids neither. he is a truck driver with a mistress living a double life. he thinks its ok while mom cries and don't want him to stop seeing kids or grand'kids. mom filed taxes on her alimony and claimed all 3 kids and her house, so how did my dad do it with taxes. and NO i do work and never tried to get any money from him!

my boyfriends mom and my mother DO NOT! like the girl baby name we picked out for our baby. im only 9 weeks along but we picked out names already for a boy and a girl.
girl is Ella Kohl
boy is Austin Liam

but they cannot stand the girl name and it bothers me when they put it down. me and my bf discussed this already and weve decided that were NOT changing the name. everytime im at his house his moms like "well i know that its your guys' baby and stuff but i dont like the name ella u should name it....blank /blank /blank...etc" its annoying

how do i get her to shut up!!?

I was in an abusive relationship for a few years. I really loved and in some ways still love this guy but he's a drug addict and hit me and verbally abused me. I was very unhappy and trying to think of ways to leave anyway when I found out I was pregnant. That gave me the strength and resolve to leave him because I knew that he wouldn't stop just because I was pregnant and I knew he would keep hurting me and the baby. Now I'm close to 7 months pregnant and doing fine. I have a restraining order against him and though he's allowed to call once a week to check on his child he has only done so once. I don't want him around this baby, he is not a good person, but I am worried that he will try to get visitation rights and then take the baby away or even hurt it or worse just to get his 'revenge' against me for leaving him. What should I do?

I don't really know why. I was but a child when Bush Sr was president; and a teen when Clinton served. I wasn't that interested in either president. But as one matures and becomes interested in politics and government, one oftentimes desires to learn as much as possible about the people who run this country.
I have many problems with Bush, Jr. I admit the war in Iraq has soured me against this man--irreparably.
.
Clinton and Bush Sr did things that I would learn I did not like or approve of either.
Yet, when I see the two of them together, I feel a sense of purpose about his great country of ours.
It overrides Bush Jr.
It is almost as if he (Bush Jr.) does not exist.
And I know better days are coming.

Does it bother any of you that the two of them are now so friendly (or appear to be)?
