Are you asking what a fusible link is or where they are located on a 1988 88? Next time be more specific as it helps in answering your question. The fusible link is a conductor that has a certain amount of resistance in it which heats up and melts away during high current draw situations. There are several in 88s. There should be one of two connected to the starter's main battery post, one connected off of the battery, and several connected into a power center connector that is located on the top of the firewall, on the top of the HVAC intlet duct, and under a couple of big plastic covers that span the whole width of the car at the top of the firewall under the hood. These supply most of the battery and ignition feeds for the car. Is that what you were asking? Good luck.
