I have one too! You can go about 20 to 30 miles. They are great on gas! =)

Better try listening to what's being said, a new filter isn't all you will need due to the fact that the fuel pump and fuel filter are a 1 piece unit both will have to be replaced, which costs around $250.

But driving with the low fuel light on usually means theres about 3 gallons of fuel left and depending on where your driving will determine how far you can go. Maybe 10-20 miles.

It should have about a 12 gallon tank, meaning the thing will turn on at about 2 gallons. My car averages 29 mpg. Based on this, you could drive for up to 40 miles without a problem, but after that, you're cutting it really close...

It's going to vary depending on how well your car is running, if it's regularly maintained, etc.

However why take the chance. If the light's on it's time to start looking for a station.

Our Ion is good for about 25 (assuming you are a "standard"; auto probably about 1/2 that)

drive until it runs out -

sucking all the rust dirt and crap from the bottom of the tank????

The pump and filter will need changing soon, because your cheap.
