No it doesn't bother me to see them together. The rest of the politicians in this country need to learn from them that just because we have different views doesn't mean we can't get along and work together without all the childish name calling and labeling.

Bush Sr. and Bill Clinton believe the world can be improved through public service. Together, they can attract more funds and attention for their causes because each man is admired by separate groups and each has somewhat different contacts in various countries. They demonstrate to US citizens that bipartisan cooperation is still possible and they show foreign citizens that the US is still a good country with leaders of good intent.
It's also very likely Bush Senior's way of poking his finger in his son's eye. He clearly no longer approves of Junior's administration, and especially his neo-conservative foreign policy.

There is an old expression. Politics makes strange bedfellows.
Clinton and Bush Sr. have a common agenda. (Raising money for charities.) It is a long standing tradition that X-Presidents use their prestige to continue to serve. These two have chosen to serve together and use their proven ability to raise money. It is also a long standing tradition that presidents do not speak ill of each other.
There isn't anything weird about it, but their isn't anything fantastically special about it either. Kudos to them for continuing to serve and using their prestige in a selfless way. Hopefully it is nothing you wouldn't do if in their shoes.

I guess Bush Sr would be Darth Vader to Clinton's Luke Skywalker. Once sworn enemies and now joined for the common good

No, it gives me hope that two people of different political outlooks can still work together for the good. Considering how divided our country is right now, that's always a nice thing to see to help restore our faith that all is not lost. Better days are coming indeed, starting January 20, 2009. Box of Rocks thinks they are just socializing? LMAO, that's pretty funny. They have become friends according to them, but they did so through the great work they are doing around the world, especially in the area of HIV/AIDS.

To me, it emphasizes that they feel that they have a lot in common.
As a nation, we're being taken to the cleaners, and our supposed leaders are in collusion to do it.
Under Bush I, we had the Gulf War.
Under Clinton, we quintupled the number of people in prison.
Under Bush II, civil liberties have been lost, and the new bankruptcy laws mean that even more people (who don't belong there) will end up in debtors' prisons.
The 'better days' you foresee belong to the Chinese, I'm afraid.

I think that it is great, and why do I get the feeling that Bush 41 would is wondering if Clinton and Bush 43 were switched at birth, or wishing they had been
Being what Jimmy Carter is saying about 43, Bill gives a nice balance.

They may seem to us to be far different from each other but they see us as the enemy, or at least the prey, and both want the same things out of life, to have their families rule the country no matter how poorly they do it.

If they are friends, why shouldn't they be? They both served this country as President and are basically elder statesmen.
