read a couple of answers in religion and spirituality section and you'll know what i mean. i'm a hindu, i like buddhism, one of my friends is a taoist, i studied in a convent and my best friend is Muslim. my boyfriend is christian too. i feel hurt whenever i see that people insult others and God! who do you think god is? and why?

A little background: My husband and I have recently decided to get divorced. We have two small children and still live in the same house together. Although we are not at each others' throats, there is plenty of tension around here. His parents live about 4 hours away.
So this evening he wrote me a text message saying that he is picking up his parents from the train station and will be home with them in about an hour. No advance notice, so that is rude enough (I am sure my husband knew ahead of time). But wouldn't you say it is also rather rude of my in-laws to show up for a family visit at such a time? They know we are divorcing; if they want to see their grandchildren, wouldn't it be more acceptable for him to take the kids to see them?
How would you act?

I've seen so much violence and killings in the name of Islam in the news that I just want to know whether this religion is preaching violence or these people are using their religion as an excuse to justify their behavior? I have seen this with Catholics, Protestants, Bhuddists, and others.

The other day one of the people that I go to school with whom I thought I was on relatively good terms with told me that I was going to go to hell after he found out that I wasn't a Christian. I know I'm a good person and I think that it was extremely unfair and closed minded of him just to say that to me based on what kind of religion I do or do not follow. I realize that all Christians are not like this beacuse I have other Christian friends who seem alot more liberal in their views. This experience caused me to wonder why some Christians out there are so fanatical?

If the earth is heating up and ice is melting we have an increase in water in liquid and gas form correct? Isn't the end result an increase in cloud cover that will reflect sun and have a corresponding cooling effect? An anology might be a govenor on an engine maybe?

I find sometimes when I pump my milk in the morning I get like 3 to 4 ounces from each breast when done for 20 minutes on both sides. Then at nighttime, the amount reduces alot to like 1 or 2 ounces per side. Now let me ask, if I continue to feed the baby every 2.5 to 3 hours, does he get as much milk if he latches on himself, or is it the same amount he would get that I would see when I pump? If he gets more drinking himself, then how much more milk is he getting, versus me using the machine?

When we fist moved in, we had fantastic neighbors beside and above us. They were both young families, friendly, quiet and generally easy to get along with. However, this month BOTH of our neighbors have moved out and in their place we now have TWO families with teenage children. Both of our new neighbors have a dog and are smokers!! OUR patio/grass is now consistantly littered with cigarette butts and dog crap, the dogs are both yappers and the music is ALWAYS blasting. The son of the family above us even plays the electric guitar...at 11pm. (and his room is directly above our baby's room!)

I am constantly asking them to turn their music/guitars/voices down after the 10pm quiet hour (and very frequently have to file a noise complaint when they don't cooperate) but I am HELPLESS to do anything about the level of noise during the day! Our childen aren't able to sleep or take ther naps!!

We still have 9 months left on our lease, what can we do about this??

hi im nick ive answerd and asked a load of q,s on here but well as u may know i suffer from bad acne and i dont have to many friends (2) which one of hits me anyway and no one realy pay attention to me everyone in my class makes fun of me espechially the girls and my family neva really pay attention to me i have ran away 3 times im only 14 i gert beat up everyday and i just feel theres nothing left for me i hav helped loads of people in ym life throught there troubles but i cant seem to get my self through this i mena looking bk at my life i see that i neva really fitted in i always listend to romantic sad music not rock like everypone else and i would whcth sad films not like evryone else i would be hard working at school not like everyone else god sake i was well what was i mena am a geecky looser i just always hated my life i mena look at my face its horriblre i know true beauty lies inside thtats how i lok for girls thier personality but know girl feels that way bout me oh nvm soz

I serious, why? Give me a moraly objective reason why Hitler was wrong. Not just your personal subjunctive opinion.

If there is no God and there is no Objective source to turn to to define what is right or wrong, why was Hitler wrong

If I believe in survival of the fittest ( I DON'T) and Hitler just happended to be the fittest in Germany at the time then by my reasoning He had every right to KILL OVER A MILLION JEWS.

It is possible to be against murder and Genocide and be an Atheist but without an objectional standard that means anyone at any time can disagree with you and if their ideology becomes the dominant in the society in which you live and your the group they wish to purge what reason can you give to stop them.

I met this girl a few months ago while she was in a relationship to her boyfriend of 3 years. As she says,” her first real boyfriend”. Anyway, we instantly clicked, and we could tell it was something special. Her relationship with her boyfriend was on the rocks, so I played it cool. We started to get closer, but then I found out that she had broken up with her boyfriend, and that she was absolutely devastated! She didn’t talk to me for 3 weeks, then she started to open up about him and their downfall and we started hooking up, and spending a lot of time together. I really like this girl, and I know she has feelings for me too, but the other day, I found out that she had gotten really upset, because she found out her ex-boyfriend had starting dating someone right after they broke up. I found out that she was crying hard. My question is: Is she’s still in love with this guy? When will she be ready to be with me? How should I play it? She’s says she cares about me, and thinks about me?

I have had just about every bird imaginable in my coi pond. At first I enjoyed having them around until I noticed they were eating my fish. I had several hundred fish to begin with now I am down to less than 100. I even have a crane that stops by and I don't even live around a lake/pond! I have tried the fake owls and snakes, they don't work. I'm looking for a way to keep them out of my pond, with harming them!
