Moral relativism is one of the problems with atheism, I agree. Most of the moral standards past down from one generation to the next in the West are derived from a Judeo / Christian moral code. And this code, as you imply, is based on absolute right and wrong, good and evil, both of which are unchanging.
I've always pointed to Pol Pot as the end result of the slippery slope atheism sits on, and which moral relativism pushes and pulls down the slope.

The killing of innocents based on political and idealogy reasons is not survival of the fittest.
Look at the decisions that had to be made upon the fall of the Third Reich, under a survival of the fittest mentality- should not the Germans themselves been marched into their own concentration camps and killed? The German language and culture erased and all of its lands absorbed by its neighbors?
What "right" did Hitler have?! as opposed to what his "responsibility" as a statesman and leader?!!? Look at what Hitler brought upon his own people and country in the end. Most Jews were loyal Germans and citizens, and they had fought well in WWI and would have done the same in WWII.
In the end, 50 million people died worldwide, and hundreds of millions more suffered tremendously- for what end, for what good?

Wow. Just...wow.
Well, my subjunctive opinion, without reference to an objectional standard, is this. (Who are you, Mike Tyson?)
If you need the concept of "God" in order to understand why it's "bad" to send 6 million Jews to the charnel, you really shouldn't be walking the streets. Society, which has rules based on mutual preservation, should recognize you for the threat that you are, and put you away before you carry your lunacy into action.
So with all you theists who think that it's necessary to refer everything to a set of dead conventions, and that, without that, none of us would have any means of deciding what's right and what's wrong. Some of us actually have a conscience. Some of us understand that if we want to live and prosper in society, it behooves us to look out for our neighbors so that we can expect the same treatment. No "God" idea is necessary for any of this.
As for "Super Bobo" with his Pol Pot reference - you've got some balls! So that's the "slippery slope" of atheism and moral relativism? Ever hear of the Dark Ages, the Crusades, the Inquisition, the Witch-Hunt, the Nazi Party, the Bush Administration? The entire history of your lauded Judeo-Christian tradition is an unbroken record of atrocities. It's easy to see, reviewing this, why you apparently believe that without being told exactly what constitutes "right" and "wrong" for all people in all circumstances, in absolutely black-and-white terms, you'd all be murdering your parents and drinking their blood.

The existance of an 'Aryan' race has been disproven. It's a load of nonsense, and the jews he killed did NOT deserve to die.
I'm a believer in the humanistic idea that it is NEVER right to take anothers life! It's not subjective it's simple logic- when you harm others you harm the world! You harm yourself too. Look at what Hitler's ideas did to Berlin.
Hitlers idea was like 'survival of the fittest', but more perverse. "Make us the fittest by killing and locking up/silencing anybody who is unlike us by any means (sneaking in and arresting them at night using child snitches & ruthless gestapo [secret police])."
This landed **** up and Germany and the Nazis were ultimately smashed. People must live tolorant lives and co-exist peacefully, or else alot of needless dying happens. Do you want one of your family or friends killed because they are different?

The Jews were the most hated people in all over Europe; only Hitler had the guts to kill them by the Millions. Politically, he had a good reason for killing them all; morally, it was inhumane. Religiously, he was the devil himself.
The bottom line is, Hitler was a very mad man.

First, Germany advance into on no account allied with Russia. The Nazi social gathering advance into antagonistic to Socialism, and the U.S. advance right into a socialist state. whether, Germany had an contract with Russia, via Russia no longer implementing the savage sanctions on Germany after the 1st international conflict. additionally, Hitler advance into smart to no longer make the type of vast enemy so quickly. whether, Hitler attacked Russia against the precepts of the contract, for motives that are irrelevant to the question. yet to respond to your question - this isn't any longer stupidity, that's barely human nature. Even after what surpassed off in the time of Hitler's reign, we've had comparable incidents. classes are discovered via people who're able to gaining information of, yet that's no longer via intelligence. think of roughly Rwanda and the Balkans in the early 90s, and particularly some different small international locations around the area, even in the present day. in specific circumstances, even whilst the international is acquainted with something is very incorrect, there is particularly little which will nicely be completed - how does an exterior u . s . or international locations p.c. to help one race of people over yet another? that's an unlucky subject related to humanity - or perhaps we in international locations like us of a, Australia and vast Britain can't declare we can continuously be immune from such issues sooner or later. We nevertheless have reservations in direction of some people / races / religions via fact some fool from those religions / races has completed something undesirable to us in the call of the religion / race they belong to whether that fool does no longer fairly represent all the people of that faith / race. Likewise for the Jewish people. regrettably for Jewish people, they have been persecuted traditionally for different motives. yet there is no longer plenty all of us could desire to do - take a glance at Islamic militants, or Neo Nazis or the Klan. particularly some the time they seem to be they are complete of warm air; yet in the time of cases of financial stress, a lot of people advance into sympathetic in direction of them. look on the British national social gathering's overall performance after the international monetary disaster those days. The BNP are very on the fringe of Nazis of their ideals. Nazism advance into born out of a poor subject for Germany, and as prevalent, it advance into less demanding to blame the poor subject on a team of people, somewhat than certainty. this is the way arseholes are available to ability! That advance into my very own very own rant, desire it helped!

Wow, that last sentence was very long.
We don't need a god to know what's right or wrong. We all know. And our standard is called 'the law'.

Do you mean the only reason you're not out murdering, raping and stealing is because your god forbids it?
Here's your standard:
Hurting others = bad
Helping others = good
I don't need any gods to tell me that.
