I have an 86 Camaro that I swapped out the stock 305 with a 350 rebuilt with a choppy idleing camshaft. But everything else on the car is stock, the tranny is stock as well. I set the idel on the carburetor around 1,000 rpm it is an edelbrock 1406 model 600cfm.
When I put the car in drive and go especially from a complete stop it doesnt die but it keeps bogging out and it doesn't shift properly when it should. i.e.: I have to let off the gas so it can shift.
Any suggestions?

My friend and I decided to separate. Things weren't working out between us. I used to be her dearest friend but things went bad and we've pratically never stopped fighting for a year. And in the end, we were trying to reconcile, but she just didn't want me back I guess, and quit trying. She thinks she needs the summer off and not think about this, and try to be friends with me next fall when school starts again. She wants to take a break since she's tired of me and wants to get the "looking forward to seeing me" feeling again. We both know we could be great friends and we miss the good times we've had before this rough year. So what should I do for the next few months to keep my mind off of this? Act like everything's fine without her?

Well I do to some extend. But I know that if I get too clingy or nosy and basically rely on them as friends-things might get messy, as you don't mix business with pleasure. I hang out with them once in a while and chat with them-but for some reason I can't bring myself to open more up with them, or actually call them to talk or hang out-for I guess fear that they can back stab me. There is a group and I hang out with them sometimes, but I'm not piont blank with them 24/7-sometimes I wish I was...like they go to someone's party and yap about it and plan stuff and I don't know ; sometimes I'm happy I can set boundaris but still communicate. What do you think?

My uncle has been living with us for 6 months now. He was only supposed to live with us for 3. My mom wanted him to make something of himself so she got him a job, yatta yatta yatta. But he's making no effort to find a place of his own considering he has a steady, good paying job. He's a BIG alcoholic. I've never seen a bigger alcoholic ever in my life. He drinks at LEAST a 6 pack every day, most days more than that. I no longer bring friends to the house because who wants to hang out with a drunk alcoholic around all the time? I'm 15 and it's summer now. I want my old life back. He also is staying in our workout room. Our treadmill is now in our living room, an ab lounge in my room, and a set of dumbells in my brothers room. All of which were in our work out room. He's just been nothing but a nuisance. I have to post more details. Sorry so long.

okay, so if its an overflow line, is it supposed to just hang there.? and someone said to tap on the buttom of the carb with a screw driver and it would unstick the valve. do you know where i can buy a service manual or get a diagram of a carb? this is crazy, we worked 7 hours yesterday trying to fix this bike and get it back on the road, all i wanted for mothers day was to ride it down the street and now this crap. i'm fed up
