1934 A in very good has a value of $9.25 and goes up to $9.70 in extra fine. In crisp uncirculated-63 it is worth $18. These are about what a dealer will pay. As you see it is not a scarce note. You have to remember the date of a note is not the date it was issued, but the date there was an over all change in the bill itself. With a change in just signatures they added a letter. This issue was printed through 7-22-1945, then they started series 1934-B, for they had a new Secretary of the Treasury and his signature went on the notes. It is a note from WW II so it's value is more historic than in monetary. Keep it as a souvenir of the past, it's value only has one place to go and that is up.

unless its in pristene condition $5, press it between sheets of wax paper put it in a flat scrap book and leave it there its value can only increase. the year 2034 is really not that far away, thats the time to take it out and sell it, by that time that bill will be a true rareity.
