- I want to make a duel-language Scrabble set, with German letters on one side and English on the other. I just need to know what points are allocated to each English letter. the amount of times each letter appears would also be helpful. Thanks.

In combat, an army doesn't - can't - take the time to figure out which soldiers on the OTHER side fired, or whether they intended to kill or simply wound, or whether they were fighting willingly or were conscripted. In combat, our soldiers shoot their soldiers.

A crime, on the other hand, involves an individualized determination of state of mind, and the elements of the crime, and whether a crime in fact occurred or was going to occur (attempt or conspiracy to commit).

So what if a person intends to commit an act of war? What if a person, intending to bring down the US government through violent means a la military action, and in support of a nation or organization that also seeks to bring down the US government through violent means, plots to kill US citizens?

It is a crime, no question. But should it be treated as an act of war?
Also, if the person does NOT comply with the Geneva Convention treaties (i.e., the person does NOT wear a uniform), why should US?

I've known some women who complained that their husbands didn't want to have sex enough for them. This is contrary to everything we normally hear, which is that the men are begging for it, and the women have "headaches."

How prevalent is it for the roles to be reversed?

My boyfriend goes to a tavern every afternoon. He goes 3 days a wk. to play cards. The other 4 days, he just goes (for 2-4 hrs.)
there to socialize, but does not always drink, he may sometimes have 7-up. He'll play machines, cribbage or just yak. He is retired, can afford it & has no interest in other avenues. But it is everyday without exception, and he wants to go alone. It kind of a "good ole boys" thing. Should this be acceptable?

One of my friends is deaf, and thus he wouldn't enjoy a cell phone too much. But... he would love texting.

It doesn't make much since to me for him to spend like $40 or $50 a month on a talking plan just so he can get $10 worth in text messages.

Does anynody know of a phone plan that would allow him to only buy texts instead of a talking plan?

Im not being mean but he caused trouble in this relationship which has rendered my feelings null and void towards him, I say it but we both know I dont mean it...should I keep saying it back just to humor him?

OK, let me start this off by saying this is NOT a debate on whether or not humans cause global warming, because it doesn’t matter. The problem is, whether they are or not, the globe is warmer, and we have to deal with it.

I am just wondering why people like Al Gore don’t bring this up more often. Even if humans ARE responsible for global warming, and even if we COMPLETELY stop CO2 emissions, the globe will still get warmer. Why? Think about it:

If you hold a flame under a thermometer, the temperature will rise dramatically, right? But if you simply remove the flame, the temperature will not start to decrease for a LONG time, and when it does, it will be very slowly.

SO, no matter the reason, our globe is getting warmer. So instead of trying to “stop” global warming, which is obviously impossible, why don’t we try to adapt to what will be a warmer globe?

Is it just me, or is this a very important topic that is simply getting ignored because it isn't as "popular" as environmentalism?

I am helping a friend plan her wedding. Our budget is basically non-exsistent. We had planned to gather fresh flowers for the table centerpieces. Now we are having a drought and due to an accident on the bridge to our Island, we have had to stop irrigating! There is very little chance that we will be able to find flowers. Any creative suggestions will be appreciated! The wedding colors and blue and teal. No special theme - just inexpensive (or free would be even better). Thanks.

Retired General John Batiste, former commander in Iraq, has recently come forward and harshly criticized President Bush’s policies in Iraq. His assertion is that a war cannot be won primarily with military might. He charges that Bush’s policy in Iraq has failed because our military effort does not work in concert with economic and diplomatic strategies. Who knows more about war strategies, a four-star general with an impeccable military record, or a president who’s never seen combat?
