What matters a lot to me is the actual cost of the vehicle, fuel economy, space for hauling camping or sports equipment (like cross country skiis) around, and how well the car will perform in it's lifespan. Is the Civic a far better car than the Yaris and worth the $3000 - $4000 more than the Yaris? Or is the Yaris as reliable as the Civic?

What are your criteria for treating a person with respect?

What things do you take as indicators that a person is not worthy of respect, or is no longer worthy?

My daughters birthday is coming in a couple of weeks and I am trying to get ideas for a snack she can bring into class. She will be 9 and is in 3rd grade.

She does not want to bring in cupcakes or rice crispy treats because that's what everybody brings in. She wants to be a bit creative. I suggested decorating springtime shaped sugar cookies but that is sooooooooooooooooooooo unoriginal.

Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated. Not too complicated please since I will be having to make many.

I was thinking about stopping taking my pill today (which is almost the end of week 2 of my pack). I went to my obgyn yesterday and she prescribed me Yasmin (I am on Loestrin 24 fe) and told me to begin that after the next pill pack. I have been having terrible side effects with Loestrin 24 fe for the past six months--bloating, gas, depression/mood swings (because of my new apperance), swollen/tender breasts, and most importantly 10-15lb weight gain (despite valient effort to keep a lean diet and exercise 3-4 times a week). It's just that I want to start losing weight again, and another 2 weeks of being bloated and fat is depressing to think about. Would it be ok for me to stop taking my pill and then start again right after my would-be period? Or would that be a terrible idea? Thanks!

We are thinking of buying a used vehicle. Maybe a BMW or Lexus?? Something probably 3 to 6 years old depending on what we can do in price. I have heard you have to get special maintenance on these "previously" expensive vehicles. Can anyone tell me about that? What about repairs.. is it even worth it? We want some of the little luxuries from one of these used vehicles but I don't want to spend $100 for an oil change on a $15,000 car.

I am on such a short budget. We are taking my four year old child. I know that the Circus Circus is the best place when taking kids so I am already booked there.
My question is this. There are so many junk coupon dealers all over the web, including ebay, but where are the good coupons for Circus Circus and buffets? I have tried for a week now and am beginning to feel that it is impossible to really find the good ones.

My husband and I just got married last week and during the ceremony, his entire side of the family (which we were both aware didn't approve of the marriage) did nothing but sit there and sigh and roll their eyes through the whole thing. After the wedding, none of his family (with the exception of his mom) said a word to me or anyone in MY family and didn't even come to the tables we set up for the reception. My husband noticed this and he was a little upset but didn't really think about it until after the wedding.

I'm very hurt by their behavior and what I don't understand is that if they felt THAT strongly about our marriage why did they come at all only to be anti-social and contemptuous of the whole thing? We're married now whether they like it or not but I'm afraid I'm never going to really be 'family' to them. My husband and I were both hurt by their behavior...

How do I go about dealing with this?

I just got a new job and had a baby. I go back to work Monday and I am now taking a bus to get to the city 2.25 each way so 4.50 a day and I pay 675 a month for childcare 4 days a week.

Can you write these things off in your taxes so it is like money you never made. Example if I pay 1200 a year for the bus ride is it like I made 30,000 instead of 31,200 if that is the situation. And the same thing for the daycare, can you write it off so it is like i made 20,000 instead of 30,000 if I paid 10,000 for a year of daycare? I get a receipt for daycare but not for the bus? Thank you any help is greatly appreciated.

At work they have this account where they can take money out and pay your daycare and it is like money you never made but it is complicated and if you don't use it you lose it and I would just rather do it in my taxes if possible if it is the same scenio.

Thanks

My friend is keeping her fishtank at my house while she moves. She had come over and set it up and everything seemed fine, but 2 days later 2 of the fish had died and the NO2 level was as worse as it could get. She changed the water and added more filters and air pumps. Then the next day the NO2 was horrible again as well as the PH. Are there any specific problems we should be looking for?

Think about the LARGE majority of questions on here. They are mostly all about Christianity in some form. Rarely do atheists ever post a question about their beliefs.(probably due to fear of us breaking their door down with pamphlets and holy water) Christians rarely post a question about atheist thinking as well. Sadly, the atheists seem idle and under-worked--probably under-compensated as well. Someone will ask Christian questions, seeking counsel, and the atheist with nothing better to do will pop his/her $.02 in with something to the effect of, "God doesn't exist and if he did he would eat your puppies." Don't get me wrong, I enjoy alot of the atheist posts that some take as incisive, because alot of them are just big jokers! Like me, for instance.('cept for the whole "I love Jesus Christ" thing) Basically, when's the last time an atheist asked a decent question?(no offense, well--maybe a little) And can we have one, please?
