Animation because you know the features of the characters; voice, colour and etc while in comics most of them are in black and white.
Second reason is that if the characters are fighting, you can't really tell the movement in comics anyway.

let's say comics is manga and animation is anime. i like comics best. (: manga usually comes first than anime and in manga, the funny parts can stay there while in the anime, some funny parts are cut because its hard to animate so. (:

Comics.
I can get more of them, and I can take them places where I might not have a TV.
Plus, there are graphic novels and trade paperbacks to compile stories which makes them easy to read in one sitting.
In a blackout, I can read comics by candle light.

animation because they have sound, something comics dont have, unless you make you own sound effects ( i used to do that, i looked like an idiot)
