More than 10,000 clergy have signed a statement saying, in part,
"We the undersigned, Christian clergy from many different traditions, believe that the timeless truths of the Bible and the discoveries of modern science may comfortably coexist. We believe that the theory of evolution is a foundational scientific truth, one that has stood up to rigorous scrutiny and upon which much of human knowledge and achievement rests." (Clergy Letter Project 2005)

In addition, many prominent Christians did not see evolution as any more threatening than biochemistry or dentistry or any other science. Among these are: Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, a paleontologist and RC priest. He believed that God guided evolution, distinguished theoretical biologist in the history of evolutionary thought and Christian conservative, Sir Fisher and social conservative Pope John Paul II.

Most who accept evolution science also believe in God. What makes it so hard for other Christians to do?

I've been put in charge with organising activities for about 40 elderly people at a home. I have a few ideas like bingo, taking them on walks, shopping and board games etc. Just wondering if these are ok and what other kind of thing should I do?

My ex behaved bad with me because he had a terrible life. He was in a bad marriage and the only happiness he had was me. i also hurt him because i did not get what I wanted from him. i have moved on but feel very guilty for what i did to him. he equally did wrong but I still fel bad. How do i get rid of this guilt feeling. We were soulmates and had a bad breakup with a lot of hurts and pains. i feel I will never be able to love anyone because I already met someone who completed me, except that he was married. A married soulmate, who was never mine. but we shared deep emotions and not even made it a complete physical relation. Just physical intimacy... How do i forget all that and move on?

I've heard and read the use of the term "feel-good" as an insult. I just wonder, why would this be a bad thing, if a spirituality or political system or belief or activity made you feel good? It's as if they mean it's shallow. I simply don't get it. A lot of people have to work very hard for a little bit of feeling good.

What do you think?

I just recieved a call from a friend, a very good friend, who i think basically called and put an end to our friendship.

Things have been awful with me and my husband. and she said that whenever she tried to talk to me about it I was snappy and shouted her down whenever she gave advice. I feel embarrased and ashamed because looking back she is right, I did.

I have text to say how sorry I am and that all I can think of was I was so caught up in the stress I just did not realise. Needless to say, she has not responded. What should I do now?

My husband and I are trying to figure out a way we can live on just his income so I can be a stay at home mom with our first baby.

We cut out luxuries and once all our bills are paid, including groceries, car insurance, gas, etc. we will have $600 every month to put in savings.

My husband isn't sure if $600 a month is enough for emergencies or unexpected bills. Next year our two cars will be paid off and we will have $1200/month total in savings.

SAHMS, how much do you have to put in savings every month after you have paid all your expenses?

"Is God male or female?"
After thinking for a moment, his mother responds,” Well God is both male and female."

This confuses the little boy, so he asks, "Is God black or white?"
"Well, God is both black and white."
This further confuses the boy so he asks, "Is God gay or straight?"
At this the mother is getting concerned, but answers nonetheless,
"Honey, God is both gay and straight."

At this the boy's face lights up with understanding and he triumphantly asks...

"Is God Michael Jackson?"
