It said that he was IMMEDIATLEY released. His agent said he was released after "unfortunate events."

I read that he tested "dirty" in a random drug test. Who knows though. Those articles aren't always correct.

Hi all - I don't know for sure why Joey Mercury got released from WWE but what I do know is that he is now wrestling for a new organasation called JTL. - www.jtlwrestling.piczo.com - check it out and you'll find mercury on the roster page!
