Jumping from a plane the first time is an experience that puts your brain in total overload. You will hear 3 voices in your head when that little door opens at 13.000 feet:

1 - "I want to do this, I want to experience the rush, go for it you woss!"

2 - "what the F**k are you doing here you big idiot, this is the most stupid thing u've done so far!"

3 - AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

At the end you will either hate it or love it, no middle term, but my experience tells me that more people love it than hate it!

I am one of those that loved it and done over 300 hundred since then... (I even celebrate my skydiving anniversary)

Ultimately its a feeling that cannot be described and it changes from person to person.

One thing is for sure, you will never, EVER forget it!

My advice: take a chance and do one!
You will understand why birds sing all the time.

Blue skies

Depends.

If this is your first skydiving experience, and this is a tandem jump, that $400 seems kind of expensive. I live in the NYC area, and about an hour and a half upstate is a skydiving center that charges $160-$180 for tandem jumps. Around and outside the metropolitan area tandem jumps are usually around $200. So unless all the places around you are $400 dollars or so, I wouldn't say it's worth it. Unless $400 is nothing to you. However, skydiving as an experience is definitely worth it, just find a place with more realistic prices.

But if you're already experienced and this is something crazy that you are planning on doing, and not just a beginner jump I'd say go for it.

One way to look at it. Lets say that you spend the money. Have a great afternoon, get some cool pictures, and have a wonderful story to remember and to tell others about. That is something that will last you a lifetime.

Next up. Lets say you do not spend the $400 on that but invest it. In 40 years, at 5% interest, it would give you a bit over $2800 dollars. Odds are that inflation will mean that much much is not worth nearly as much as it is today. If you look backwards 40 years, $455 in 1967 would be worth $2800 today. You may not appreciate the value of the money in 40 years as much as you would appreciate the value of the memories.

However, that does not mean go crazy and blow all of your money now to go and have fun. Be reasonable and save your money but every now and then do something fun.

My feeling it always be UNICEF, because children can't make it for their selves so they need all the help they can get, you can say they have enough money because it's a big institution but it's not like that because for them it doesn't mater in which country the children are (all over the World) from Europe to Asia. So I think that it's a very good effort they apply to every single child. BUT a special mention to YOU, that is very much having no words to describe what you're doing because you are by yourself, it's very positive well done, and any of the institutions you'll pick they have to feel very lucky to have somebody like that to help. Have the most shining star.

Absolutely. If you like adrenaline rush type stuff, it is well worth it. I have done bungee, para sailing, the big swing, but none of them could touch jumping out of a plane.

if you never did that before. Why not, go try it. have fun. dont let money ruin your chances of trying something new. $400 for that too me is kinda cheap and its worth it. Just have fun and be safe.

Yeah, you can do a tandem jump...get pictures....video.....and get one hell of a ride. Afterward you should still have about $200 bucks to go to the bar and get smashed.

Definitely do it, but not for that price.
