Keep them involved and active, let them have input. Let their inner child emerge and they won't age while they're engaged in your activities.

Go to your local library and pick up all the leaflets you can on places to go and see like stately homes ect so that you can put them in a file and then you have a good rage of places for them to go too.
many like art and craft such as drawing, painting, sticking, knitting, crochet.
reading so magazines and books.
Bingo some love that with little prizes.
Do any schools or churches come out and sing to them.
Films you could ask what is there fav and get them out on DVD for them some real good old fashioned black and white ones.
Do they have a piano in the home and can some play it for others.
jigsaws.
My mom loves puzzel books word searches.
Why dont you do a questionaire and list different activites and then get them to tick which ones they want to do and final ask for suggestions after all they may be old but trust me the mind for many is still young.

Hi, I also do a bit of care work for the elderly and i think all your idea's will go down a treat. One suggestion is buying a large inflaterble ball (I used the kind ment for excersise or a pregnant woman) the old folks loved rolling it about. We also have people bring in their pets (and babys!) for petting days.

you could do some gentle stretches to music- helps keep the elderly a bit more flexible. a singsong can be fun too- especially if anyone has had a stroke- sometimes they can't speak but can sing songs from 60 years ago! remember that most of them ( presumably) are still in complete control of their faculties

Show them Yahoo Answers and with all that experience they could give out a bit of advice. You read out the juicy ones and they get to pass comment. That's been my experience of what old people really like. And a bit of felching and rimming obviously.
