of the street you were born to live at? I was raised on Chicken Bristle Rd. I remember we had only one postman and he lived on the "road with no name" (really) His was the only house on this road. As I got older I always wondered how he would have got his mail if he hadn't been the post master.

Great story! Just watched that movie the other night and loved it. It's hard to take Hillary Swank seriously as a serious character, but she pulled it off nicely, and had just the right chemistry with Patrick Dempsey when she needed to. Loved the kids and their 'tudes. The movie serves as a reminder to all of us that everyone has a story, and everyone deserves respect.

I've been attending a play group for quite some time now with my [15mo] son. He's a rowdy boy but is very friendly with other kids. He falls over, bumps his head around, gets scraps, plays on play grounds, and is just rough 'n' tumble. Since he could walk I’ve had him outside play and he’s extremely active.

The other kids my son's age at the play group aren't like this at all. I noticed their parents would make over their every fall and then worry about my son when he didn't cry after hitting his head or getting a toy taken from him. They would run to their children when they fell over or did something that could have hurt then the child would end up crying.

Is it that uncommon to have a child who doesn't cry unless sometime hurts really badly? Is it 'normal' for me to not make big deal over every little hardship that comes his/her way?

I'm not saying these parents are wrong. I just wonder whatever happened to allowing kids to be kids.

Thanks!

Most times when I get one of the old-style £20 notes there is writing on them - numbers like 1200, 720, 640, 420, in the round space to the left of the Queens head. Obviously these represent a total of money - but I am wondering why people need to write this on the notes?

My sister-in-law sent a box of graduation items for my son's upcoming high school graduation. Among the items is a box about 18 inches square with a slot in the top that is intended for people to put monetary gifts into. I have never experience this before and it seems like the same thing as walking around with you hand out expecting money. Is this a common thing now or would it be tacky to have it sitting out on one of the tables at the party?

Now that all the justifications for going into Iraq have been proven false, and Bush turned it into the largest terror training ground in the world, terrorists will follow us home if we pull out and make the Iraqi government stand up? This can only work 2 ways people. Either Bush is full of ****, and the terrorists STILL want to attack America, and will. Or Every terrorist in the world got together and decided as long as we are in Iraq, they will not come here? I'm guess the latter did not happen, so we have no reason to stay in Iraq. The terrorists are already here, are already planning more attacks, and staying in Iraq will not change that. So what exactly are our troops dying for again?
