The brown lepricon on the throwback jersey is called the Brownie Elf. It was the Browns' logo a long time ago, but removed in the mid 1960s because owner Art Modell thought it was too childish. He replaced it with a CB on the helmet, which they used in a preseason game versus Green BAy in 1965, but the team never really used that. Later they switched to a Brown B inside a white football, then to what they have now with the solid orange helmet with a stripe.
