God does not ignore prayers. You just need to accept that you may nit get instant results. Instead of praying for something tangible or for something good to happen to you, pray for God's guidance throughout your life and to have wisdom and understanding. For example, instead of praying to win the lottery, pray for guidance in handling money and for faith that God will feed you like the sparrows and clothe you in beauty like the lily. Pray to feel closer to Him and you will feel His loving presence and know that He is listening, but like a father who keeps poison out of the reach of a toddler, our Heavenly Father also keeps us from things that we think we want that could in the long run be more detrimental.

God hears us through His Son Jesus- and we can approach His throne with confidence because of Christ. He is listening all the time- are you listening to Him?
