My child's father has been threatening me to get cusotdy of our baby so that he won't have to pay much child support. I live in Minnesota. The waiting list for court is a year and I don't have money for a lawyer and he's rich. I don't want him to have any custody, AT ALL! What should I do??? I'd rather go without child suport than have him get any custody. I cry myself to sleep every night!! He's not on the birth certificate and keeps demanding a paternity test so he can have her. What are the chances that an ummarried couple would get shared custody if the mother doesn't want it??

Just now he decides to be worried. Says he is not sure he can even find much of the paperwork, w-2's I assume or whatever. What can he do? Should I tell him to call the IRS directly and work something out or what? This guy has kids and doesn't he risk going to jail for this? We are not talking about a rich guy here either.

I mean, I know there are some white guy/black girl couples, I am related to a couple like that in fact, but not as many as the other way around. Are white guys and black girls just not as attracted to each other? Are they more racist? Seriously, I am just curious. Another question on here got me thinking about it. What do you think?

I thought that in order to understand the scriptures, you must be guided by Holy Spirit. In order to be guided by Holy Spirit you must ASK for it from God which means you must first BELIEVE in God. How do you make that first step to believe in God? You have to WANT to surrender. You have to admit you NEED a Savior. This is a VERY personal, emotional moment that is different for everyone and not everyone is in that place right now.

However there are some Christians in here asserting that faith in God comes through the bible. So they spend countless hours trying to prove their bible-based doctrine is absolute fact to non-believers, hoping it will inspire belief in God. I disagree. I think wanting to believe in God, independent of the bible happens first. Or Is God and the bible now interchangable? How many of you had to have a complete knowledge of the bible before you could believe in God?
Is just reading it going to inspire belief in God? Or is a MORE personal process involved?

I need some help, fast! I did a recent nitrate/nitrite test after a lot of work on my fish tank, and my tests have been running up a high level of nitrite. (Somewhere between 0.5 - 1.5 ppm) Which is really stressing me out!! I just did a partial water change (~30%) yesterday, but today, I still have that same value for the nitrite! How should I lower it?? I've just done a 90% water change about a week ago too, so I really don't know how much a water change might help...

I did purchase live bacteria (bottled) a short time ago, because our bio-filter is a month or so new, and I think my nitrite levels are because of the new filter. So I've bought the bacteria, and I've added doses twice now, the last dose just on Sunday.

I'm wondering, with these high levels of nitrite, should I add some more bacteria? Is there any risk to possibly adding TOO much bacteria?? What are other possible solutions??

I have been dating my girlfriend for over a year and she has herpes. i am scared of getting it too. I take a few preventative measures. I will not have sex without a condom, if she feels even the slightest itch, or within three days of her last sore healing. she takes valtrex. what more can I do? should I take valtrex also? I have a friend that has a baby. Her son is 2 years old. The baby has seen his father two times when he was born. Mother was forced to take her son for a paternity test. The test proved that he was the father. Should she tell her baby that his father does not want him or be in his life. Or what should she do. They had to file papers in court for custody and the biological father says that his dna papers prove that he is not the father. Case was closed.
