I mean, I know there are some white guy/black girl couples, I am related to a couple like that in fact, but not as many as the other way around. Are white guys and black girls just not as attracted to each other? Are they more racist? Seriously, I am just curious. Another question on here got me thinking about it. What do you think?

You guys aren't very observant. Black women are beautiful. Not all of them are supermodels - any more than all white girls are. But not all white guys are hot either. Most people, of any race, are average-looking. Also, there is more to attraction than just appearance. What are the other reasons?

I know of several white guys/black women couples (even in this area of the deep south). You just have to look harder.

There are quiet a few white guys who date black women. I am one of them. We aren't as predominant as black male and white female couples though. I'm not sure why that is. From what I have seen it is kinda a status thing if a black guy gets with a white woman, but with white men its kinda like "whatever."

Wow. I was just reading SOME of the answers and I think you can see the answer to the question.
Apparently, people THINK that black women are ugly and have bad attitudes.
Now, none of this is true.
Black women don't look like Asian, Latino, or white women, but we are not UGLY.
And ah, the old "bad attitude" stereotype. It is not true, we just want justice, but IF MOST PEOPLE THOUGHT YOU WERE UGLY AND HAD A BAD ATTITUDE WOULDN'T YOU HAVE A BAD ATTITUDE?
Gee, that is probably why we see SOME sisters with one.
The other thing is that this is a racist world. Black women are in it, unfortunately.
I think also that we as black women have a loyalty to black men.
I personally have dated and have been engaged to numerous white men.
I wanted to have a black family and more specifically, didn't want all the BS that you go through in being in an interracial relationship.
It is fine for a nice brother to date/marry white, Asian, or Latino women...not too many societal pressures.
But the "other way around" as you say, is tough.
I felt like I was put in a spotlight EVERYWHERE I went. It was crazy.
I know, especially now, that whomever God brings into your life, you should be free to love.
But the craziness is sometimes a bit too much.

It could just be where you live that you are not seeing so many. I see quite a lot of black women dating white men but you're right I do still see more of the other way around even though the numbers keep increasing. It's probably b/c the black guy white girl thing has just been prevalent a lot longer so I suppose it's more socially acceptable than the other way around so that combination feels more comfortable expressing their attraction. I think white guys like black girls just as much as the black guys may like white girls but they just may not feel as comfortable expressing it b/c it is still somewhat uncommon. I'm sure it'll even out with time.

There are a million questions on yahoo asking this same question. I've answered at least 3 before. I'm black and my boyfriend is white. We're extremely happy.
Just try looking at some of the old responses...this just gives the racists more to thrive on.

I know a few couples, but not many at my school that are black female and white male. I like all guys of different races. I see some smokin hot white guys at school. Some of the guys even said I was cute but, I have never had the courage to ask any of them out. Most of the black girls at my school are so loud and ignorant and always talking back to the teacher. I am mixed and I was raised to be polite so I am not like that so this is probably why white guys like me more than black guys do.
I don't know, it is more of a personality thing than any other reason. At least at my school it is.

I agree with Fatima's answer. It's probably the area you live in that makes it uncommon. I'm a black female and I'm attracted to guys of all races. I have always been attracted to white guys but it is hard to find one that is attracted to a black female.
Good question though... I'm trying my hardest to ignore the ignorant and racist comments to this question.

Because there aren't that many nice white guys, who are attractive and have big pogo sticks. Plus, they would rather believe stupid stereotypes, instead of logically realizing those stereotypes can't be true for all black women. But who cares? I don't want them anyway.

Most black women are not attracted to white men, they feel that the sexual part of the relationship will not be to their liking.
