Sorry to hear this.

I had four mice a year ago, they've started getting old and getting various diseases - I have 3 mousy graves in my garden now, and have a nasty feeling the final one is going to go pretty soon.

Times does heal, you will get past this. Promise! And you might well want other mice in future. I had two boy mice originally before I got my four girls. I'm sure I'll get others when the last of this brood is gone. I know i'll be sad, but it's the circle of life!

Try not to think about it. My bearded dragon died a week and 1 day ago. He died of old age. But anyway here is a list of things you can do.

1)Disinfect the cage.
2)Disinfect anything that was in the cage (if you want to use it again)
3)get a new one(if your ready)

you will be just as happy with a nw one.

It depends on why your mouse died. If it died of disease you should disinfect his/her cage and bowls, throw out toys, and buy a new mouse and new mouse toys. If it died from negligence let it be a lesson learned. If it died of old age feel good you gave it a long good life and buy a new one.

You should make a list entitled, "the top 15 reasons I loved my mouse." Then, when you can't finish the list, because you probably won't be able to think of 15 reasons why you loved your mouse, you should go and get real pet with personality. Try a dog this time, maybe a cat....
