I am curious as to how to place my silverware after I have finished eating. I have heard a number of answers, but they all seem to contradict. From what I have gathered, the knife and fork should be laid parallel to each other with the serated edge pointing inwards and the fork closest to me, but this is all I can assume. The laying, I've heard, can be horizontally, vertically, or angled. Which is the proper method, or are they all acceptable?
