I bought her 2 days ago and all she does is sit at the bottom of the tank and sometimes she floats like she's dead but she isn't. I also have a male beta in the tank with her. He doesn't flare or chase her around the tank. Does any1 have any idea what is wrong with the female?

You shouldn't actually keep them in the same tank unless you're actively trying to breed them. Even then, once she lays eggs, you 'll need to remove her so the male can tank care of the bubble nest, eggs, and fry.

From the inactivity by both of them, I'd suspect their water isn't warm enough. They can live in temperatures from 70-85o, but seem to be most active from 76-80o.

Check out the website below for info on breeding and housing them.

My beta did that. She's just sleeping.
