hey, before you read this, please do not judge, or think that he is a perv or a paedo or a weirdo or any of that jazz, because he is truly a nice guy, and wouldnt do anything to hurt anyone.

okay, im 14, and the guy i like is 18. its my friends brother, and i went and stayed at my friends house for a few nights.

we were watching tv and my friend went to bed and so it was just me and tom (the 18 year old) there, and i noticed when we were watching tv he kept on looking at me (in a nice way, not pervy )

we started talking, and i offered to make him a cup of tea, and when i gave it to him he touched my hand (lol that sounds really gay but he didn't need to touch my hand)

and he was smiling at me and properly looking into my eyes when we were talking and stuff, and if i said i was cycling instead of walking, he said that he was going to cycle too.

is 18 too old for me? i wouldnt have sex or anything, im not like that...

please dont be harsh, because i'm only wondering.

thanks!! xxxx

Don't bother trying to argue from its own words. Let's see some EVIDENCE, not just claims made within the Bible itself.

Isn't it more rational to recognize that the Bible, like many other sacred books, contains material useful for moral teaching, as well as things that are not helpful?

Isn't it likely that you can derive sound moral lessons from the Bible, the Bhagavad Gita, the Upanishads, the Egyptian Book of the Dead, Dianetics, the Book of Mormon, the Analects of Confucius, the Avestas, and Mary Baker Eddy's "Science and Health"? Why imagine that only one of them works?

Any book can make the claim that it is unique and special. Indeed, many do. What evidence (actual evidence, not just its own claims) does the Bible possess to justify considering it special?

I know on light gathering of course, the refelctor wins.

but what benifits does a Maksutov-Cassegrain have over a basic reflector, other then price. is there that much of a diffrence between them in planet views and messier objects. and so on? If you had a choice between a 4.5 reflector with autostar 494. and or a Maksutov-Cassegrain 90mm 3.5 with a autostar 497. both have what is said 325x max power... on that what one would have the better VIEW?

I dont understand the very end of the movie, when that woman and her daughter arrive home. Are they still in another world, and is that why the husband doesn't see them? I am SO confused. A little help would be great.

My 6 mo. relationship has been intense in both good & stressful ways. Through it we still r convinced we have a future together. Yesterday - a big turning point - his children (28&26) finally came to my home with their partners for a nice dinner. I was sooo nervous & wanted to make a good impression & I have no idea how I pulled it off, but it went VERY well. Recently my man & I have discussed living together - he held back mostly because of his kid's saying they felt it was too soon. I was a bit angry BUT I believe it was because they just didn't know me enough or see my environment & know that I HAVE my OWN ON MY OWN! Now they have seen it & they left with the knowledge that they are always welcome. My man has 6 wks left to find a place to live & having trouble in doing so. 1/2 of his belongings will be coming to my house anyways...should I bring up the idea of him moving in again or should I not push the issue? He usto get very excited at the idea - details were addressed.

he could not overtake Alonso in his Ferrari, but Nick Heidfeld managed to, in his BMW.
I wonder if Michael Schumacher would have had the same problems overtaking alonso, when he was Kimi age?

I think that the basic structure of our society is inherited from the 19th century, and worked well then. For example a large number of media outlets held in diverse hands made it difficult for any one owner to supress truth - and this acted in a cleansing way to bring scandal to light. Now, however, media, for example, has grown monolithic, and therefore prone to manipulation, and doesnt act in the healthy cleansing way of old. An example, in the last 30 years is to compare the Watergate scandal, with that of the invasion of Iraq. The overall structure of society even only 30 years ago (especially the widespead ownership of the media then) operated to heal a wrong and bring down entrenched power, while today a concentrated media prevents a debate from reaching the required strengh to do this even in the event of a war arguably convened for the benefit of special interests.
Special interests are a constant - society needs to act automatically to keep them in place. How?

Two storks are sitting in their nest: a father stork and baby stork. The baby stork is crying and crying and father stork is trying to calm him. “Don’t worry, son. Your mother will come back. She’s only bringing people babies and making them happy.”

The next night, it’s father’s turn to do the job. Mother and son are sitting in the nest, the baby stork is crying, and mother is saying “Son, your father will be back as soon as possible, but now he’s bringing joy to new mommies and daddies.”

A few days later, the stork’s parents are desperate: their son is absent from the nest all night! Shortly before dawn, he returns and the parents ask him where he’s been all night.

The baby stork says, “Nowhere. Just scaring the hell out of college students!”

Suppose that each of a group of business people arrives at a meeting, where each shakes hands with all of the other people present. If I was to tell you that it could be proven through mathematical induction that one could show that if n people come to the meeting then [n(n – 1)]/2 handshakes occur, what would be your response? See if you can come up with some logical response in support of this statement.
