You have to go to the original place you recieved the debt.. That happened to me I was in chex system for 70.00 on a closed Bank one account... I had to pay the 70.00 and fee at a bank one office. I then got a letter saying I was released from the debt.. and it takes some time frame to get off the system.. but incase you might have to show proof of paying it .. so thats Y i suggest getting the recipt.

Chexsystem is only like a credit reporting place. Stores and banks report you to them when you have written a bad check. You have to pay your bank and pay off the store and when it is paid off they will report that to Chexsystem, but it can take a while to get off of their list.

Hi!
I would be very careful in paying a account that has been reported to chex systems. I have heard of people not getting the agreement in writing to have the record removed..and paid..and still had the record for 5 years.

Be very careful. Even if you pay it...they may not take it off your record.
