I work in the car industry. If I say that German and Japanese engineers are best in the world is this racist? (becasue it implies all other countries and races are worse).

A friend of my father's gave me an engagement gift. I have been engaged now for almost a year and feel that they just did so so they get an invite to the wedding. It is something that they have done to others in the past as well. I really do not know them at all and from what I understand the wife tends to be a troublemaker. The last wedding we were all at together she almost got into a fist fight and most of the people at her table left early. Am I obligated to invite them to the wedding if they got me an engagement gift or is a simple "thank you" note enough? I explained my hesitation to my father as it is his friend and who is paying for the wedding and he was understandable to it. And he and my mom have A LOT of friends coming to the wedding so it is not like I am being unfair in that aspect. I just don't know them or want them there. But I also don't want to be rude.

doing the vault. She tells me that there is alot to think about. She is getting really discouraged and she has never felt like this and has been doing gymnastics since she was 2. What do I do. She will never learn the vault if her coach continues to sit her out and not teach her. I have asked if the coach is telling her what she is doing wrong and she says no that he just tells me to sit down and watch. This may work for some kids but its not for my daughter is actually making things worse.. What do you think.???

I had noticed from the very beggining that many people were not liking Sanjaya on the American Idol Show because of his being too young and of Indian origin (kind of racial prejudice). There are many theories out there about his success for hanging on so long. Most of them are the results of stereotypical thinkings and undermine, unjustifiably, his talent (whatever he has!).

I always thought Purina dog food was a terrible food for dogs, and it is full of grain for fillers, chicken by products, etc. Yet, I see so many people here advising others to feed their dogs Purina. I saw on the internet where someone did a test for various brands of dog foods, and Purina got an F on every one of their foods. Why do so many people feed Purina, if it is that awful.
