Not for my Husband! He keeps going and going and going and going. He has been doing it since he was in Highschool.
He generally feels very mellow and relaxed.

There is no real evidence that marijuana effects your sex drive, makes you sterile, or causes brain damage. Jamaican and Costa Rican field studies found no difference in hormone levels between marijuana users and non-users.There was one study in 1974, that claimed a lowered level of testosterone in male marijuana users. However, no other researchers have been able to duplicate these results.
The effects of marijuana depend on the user, the dosage, and the setting. Marijuana enhances the mood you are already in, if you feel relaxed and happy, you will feel happier, if you are anxious and paranoid, you will feel more paranoid, and if you are not in the mood for sex, you will feel less in the mood.
As with other substances, a long time user of the herb will build up a tolerance to it and require larger amounts to feel high. If you are concerned about your boyfriend's pot use, try talking to him about it-- if he's been smoking every day for eight days there may be something bothering him and he is smoking to help him forget. Visit norml.org, thegooddrugsguide.com, and erowid.com for more information on marijuana use.

One of the more interesting myths about marijuana and its effects upon sperm has it's hint of truth in one of the scientifically verified effects of the drug; It appears to significantly reduce the production of testosterone and can (in persons prone to the condition) cause erectile dysfunction. The intensity that these decreases have on an individual seem to vary from male to male, due to the complexity of our biochemistry, but a general decrease in human beings is found.
It is currently unknown if these effects are simply temporary or if they can be long-term; The studies just haven't been done. So I can't honestly tell you if this is the result of long term usage.
But! If he has recently increased his use of the drug, that may at the very LEAST be a hint toward his decreased sex drive. But the possibility of an external factor (stress in life, something on his mind having a psycho-sexual effect, etc.) causing this decreased sex drive is also very likely.
My suggestion would be to simply talk about it! In a healthy relationship this shouldn't be too hard, as long as you simply express concern and the desire to listen to your partner, rather than presenting yourself as an accusatory or insulted figure.

Yes, it does. It also decreases motivation in general. Smoking marijuana on a regular basis is detrimental to mental, physical and emotional health. I recommend that you talk to your boyfriend about this, if you care about his well-being. Chances are he's already addicted to the psychological affects, and he'll resist everything you say.
