There is a newer product that is available to the public that looks like mulch but is actually recycled tires. I believe LOWES sells it or can at least get it for about $12 per bag. The bag is 2 cf?
Give them a call.
It definitely makes for softer landings and less splinters as well!

Rubber mulch. It's available in several different colors. You can get it in bulk, although it can be hard to find a supplier for that. As the first answer said, Lowe's sells a couple of colors for 12 bucks a bag. It's pricey to start with, but it never deteriorates. I've used some along the foundation of my house and it works well.

if you have a large area .your best bet might be wood chips. check with the power company ,to see if there are any line clearence workers in your area.talk to the forman of the crew he might just give them away .

there are a few, Cyprus, ground up tires, both work good. Cyprus is exp, don't know if you can get ground up tires where you live???
