I'm wondering if Rachel Carson actually proposed that the government place certain restrictions of chemical companies and told them to change the way they produced their pesticides...or did she just mention alternatives to pesticide use and tell them to reduce production and use?

Technically, we wouldn't have to legalize it for the war on drugs to end. I mean, the police don't bust down doors on a regular basis to make sure the house isn't storing dead bodies, but that doesn't mean murder's suddenly been legalized.

Obviously I would prefer to legalize the stuff, but torpedoing the ridiculous "War on Drugs", with all its excesses and gang-rapes of the Constitution, would work fairly well for me too.

I just saw a news story about the guy who is predicting that we'll have 17 hurricanes this year, but he says climate change is due to changes in ocean currents and that man made global warming is a red herring. "Natural changes in ocean currents are to blame for increased Atlantic hurricane activity in recent years, not man-made global warming as many scientists believe, hurricane forecaster William Gray said on Friday." So what does this say about Al Gore and all the other scientists. This guy also says " the work of scientific colleagues who have linked global warming and increased hurricane activity...were simply seeking grant money." So what am I supposed to think now. I've never heard about this. I thougth man made global warming was settled as fact. Now I'm confused. I have to write a paper and then this comes up. So now what do I do, what should I believe??? I really do need help with this.

Im a female early to mid 20s and I go and buy myself a brand new luxury sports car. Whenever I tell someone online or someone I dont know they say 'Who bought ya that'? or Where'd ya get that from? And make it look like I couldnt of possibly bought it myself because im a female and it seems they are amazed that I could afford a 44,000 dollar vehicle by myself. Why is that? Why do men say wherd ya get that from? What guy bought ya that? then when they find out I bought it myself they get silent.

My Uncle passed away on Wednesday morning. I still have a mylar balloon from my birthday, 3 weeks ago which is still inflated by dying. Anyway, yesterday morning I woke up with the balloon hovering over me in my bed. Each time I pushed it away, it would come right back. It still remains in my bedroom right where I sleep. In additon, 7 years ago, my mother -in-law passed and I had a balloon hovering over me. Is this just a coincidence? I have never had balloons hover over me in my sleep. What does it mean?

Suppose we put him inside a really thick, steel reinforced concrete bunker, and then run huge, pipes around it filled with water. You know he's going to start doing that hellfire stuff soon enough, and viola, steam to turn generators to make electricity!

Then again, as soon as I patent the idea, big oil will probably bury it.
