I'm too timid. I'm afraid of people making fun of me.

I am a new creation - the old has gone, the new has come!
Raised in a Christian family, I came to know the Lord at the age of 13, which was 37 years ago.
As I look back, I see the hand that has guided and planned.
God has never failed me, because God cannot fail.
He is faithful in every way, I have personally proved it so.
Life has not been a bed of roses, but what I do know is that God works everything together for good, to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

Well, my story began about 3 years ago when I was 14. My parents felt horrible for not taking me to CCD (Catholic education classes) to prepare me for my first communion, as most kids do when theyre about 8. (So I was doing my first communion a little late.) I found CCD horrible! It was boring, the catechist would talk too much, and.. well, it was horrible!
Just two weeks before my first communion, our class (with kids around my age) HAD to go to a retreat. Right after mass (which ended at 1:30), we had to go to our hall and stay there until 10pm! I dreaded even thinking of it, but we had to go in order to do our first communion.
It turned out to be great! We prayed, we played games, watched a movie about what it meant to do our first communion, and heard testimonies from other people. I felt like that night had changed my life and I was glad I went because I knew what I was about to do. Which was great because our leaders told us that if we were not ready to accept the body of Christ, that it was perfectly okay to wait until we felt ready.
I knew it affected others because the next week at CCD, our teacher told us that some kids went up to him and told him that they'd rather wait for a year or so.
That retreat was wonderful and I can honestly say that it changed my life and how I view my Catholic faith.
Thanks for reading :)
God bless!

I became one of those born-again Jesus Freaks of the 1970s. This was the Calvary Chapel movement that started in Costa Mesa, California USA. I was by myself when I asked Christ into my heart, because I figured if He IS God, He can meet me where I am at and not at a church. And He did, in a BIG way. Been walkin' and talkin' to Him for--oy, 34 years now.
I have always wanted a personal relationship with my Creator, but never knew how to gain it. Christianity showed me how and proved it beyond what I could imagine. The Bible showed me that this salvation was free, with no requirments other than to believe and trust in the Savior.
Christianity is founded on freedom. Freedom to recieve, freedom to reject, freedom to opt-out, freedom to change your mind and opt-in. Free will is everything to God. He will never force anything upon you without your will to do so.

God has created everything that is movable and immovable in the entire universe. You have to believe it and feel it. And also feel that how great He could be who has created such a great universe. Try to reach the end of the open sky in the night and the end of the sea when you happen to be by side of a beach. Also see the beautiful birds flying or on a tree, fish swimming in water, beautiful flowers and the sun set as well as the sun rise in the earliest hours of the day break to feel how beautiful He could be who has made all such beautiful things in the universe.
Gradually, you will feel God by your side and later within you. These I have written for you from my own feelings and experience not knowing how old are you. God bless you.

i know the church is true (LDS aka, mormons). I know that Joseph Smith brought about the restoration through the
power of the Holy Spirit and the fulfilling of the
gospel of Jesus Christ to the Earth.
