My Uncle passed away on Wednesday morning. I still have a mylar balloon from my birthday, 3 weeks ago which is still inflated by dying. Anyway, yesterday morning I woke up with the balloon hovering over me in my bed. Each time I pushed it away, it would come right back. It still remains in my bedroom right where I sleep. In additon, 7 years ago, my mother -in-law passed and I had a balloon hovering over me. Is this just a coincidence? I have never had balloons hover over me in my sleep. What does it mean?

i really think the answer is in you.
The only thing i could think is if you are in a blanket and tossing and turning maybe you would have alot of static and the balloon would be drawn to you.
or for the spiritual aspect.
i believe it would mean that its a sign for you that no matter what you do your family is always with you in whatever you do, and that using your birthday balloon they are wishing you the best of years to come. You decide what you want to believe, but if your a spiritual person you might agree with this or i could be totally wrong.
But i have had similar things happen to me after my grandfather died 3 days before i was going to see him. One of my favorite toys when i was little was always out of the toy box on the floor when i got up. I never knew who did it but it was a toy my grandfather got me. it just seemed to me like he was telling me not to worry and just to have fun.

It all has to do with aerodynamics. Any moving body creates turbulence in its wake. There is a pocket immediately behind the moving object. If a relative lightweight object enters the pocket, it will be captured and pulled along with the lead object. When it stops, the lighter object also stops. If you turn around and move toward it, it will retreat. This is from the "bow" wave in front of you.
There is a brand of balloon called "Follow Me" that is made with this phenomenon in mind. It works best with children.

It can mean that you are haunted I guess or that your you have many drafts in the house. My brother swears that my dad has haunted him for the past four years after dying. Books coming off the shelves, doors opening and closing, tv coming on and going off. He moved into dad's house and says it's his punishment for the headaches he gave dad growing up.

Spirit is attracted to electricity and uses it as a catalyst... balloons harbor static electricity so anything is possible...
But in so far as it meaning something... No. Probably not.

My dad was making wine and it was bubbling along just fine. The day he died, it stopped bubbling. I say coincidence, others say not. Same as your situation. I think coincidence, others may not. It is what makes up the game. We are all different.

a friend had that happen when her father died,,,,, a ballon in the house, inflated as you say, would follow her around, only her,, even went up to the top of the stairs,,, so i would say its the spirit,,,, not exactly your uncles spirit, as in a ghost,,,, but his thoughts for you, causing it , especially if you were close
