I have asked this question before, but i didn't get many answers. Anyway, I have a sunset platy that has puffy gills all over! And in a spot the gills are even coming off. It almost looks like it is shedding its giils, or like it has goosebumps on its body. ( I can't think of any other way to put it) It has been like this for a little over 2 weeks. My mom said it was a bacterial infection, and she said that mold or fungus would start growing on it soon. But that hasn't happened yet. Any ideas about what the heck this could be???

Some people believe that alcoholism is herediatary, I'm inclined to believe that that is not neccessarily true. If this was true everyone would be an alcoholic. I think that is just an excuse to blame our family for a problem that we get from society. Just because it may be hereditary, doesn't mean you're gonna be an alcoholic. You have choices. What do you think?? Is alcoholism hereditary?

I'm talking about a regular $4000 contribution of after-tax money into an established roth ira account. I was under the impression that no reporting needed to be done since it's not a taxable event, but someone told me otherwise. I think I'm right. But if I am right, then how does the IRS really know how many years you have contributed so they know whether or not the amounts in the account are correct?

I have noticed the way people write on Yahoo answers and other websites and it seems that the English langauge is changing. I asked a similar question but it seemed offensive to most so now I am just trying to be objective.
Will we lose words like with and will they become spelled as wid.
Will typing out complete sentences no longer be used in books, documents and other literary forms?
What will this do to our culture? Are we evolving or becoming illiterate?
Also, are schools no longer teaching English Comp?

i have boring hair. thats probably because i never do anything with it! i have no ideas for hairstyles at all!!! anyone have some simple hairstyle ideas? my hair is layered and down to my shoulders on the last layer. it is thick and often snarly.(yuck)

i tried many of them like small free ones but they do not work! I need a free cd\dvd burner software that can burn iso! If no one works, i have a daemon tools and i created an iso image with it of what i need! Is it possible to put that on a cd?? How??

The other day in Best Buy, I found something I didn't know existed: The LG BH100, being toted as the first ever BluRay/HD DVD player. Well, that sounds kind of cool, but I'd kinda like to know if any other companies/brands are going in that direction with similiar products.
I'd like to know if there's an ideal news or forum site out there with the scoop or inside on next gen players out in the next few months. I tried using Google, but all it could find were articles from 2006, or articles for machines after they came out. Same with CNet.
As for the current BH100 from LG, Best Buy admitted there are a few kinks with HD DVD features that might hurt it, but I also noticed the player itself has a ethernet cable, does it maybe download patches and fixes from LG when available?
