Ok so i have a pretty good life, its not perfect but whose is? For the past few years (im about to graduate from high school) ive been thinking about what to do with my life. I always thought i wanted a wife and kids but now im having second thoughts. Staying single is starting to sound really good to me. Im not into partying or anything but living alone sounds appealing. Is that normal or is something wrong with me

How I wish our elected officials would remember what they wanted to accomplish when they were young and idealistic and really wanted to make a difference to make the US the greatest country the world has ever seen!!!

I sometimes feel that pride!
Like when we help after natural disasters around the world!
Or when I see many of the wonderful things that keep happening and developing in the medical fields that help so many people at home and around the world!!
We are better than we were in some regards and our own worst enemies in others!!
We truly need a President who is a unifier for our country and people!!
Do you see anyone who fits that tall order for '08?

Do you think i was out of line?
I am very adamant about not having alcohol around my children...i really just despise the stuff and don't want it around them, especially at a young age and in a family setting.
Well last weekend i was with my MIL at her house. She doesn't drink, but her bf does and he was drinking some beer with dinner. He isn't a raging alcoholic by any means, just likes to have a couple of beers or glasses of wine at night to relax. The next day, i talked to her about it and just requested that when me and my DH bring our children around that we would appreciate it if he doesn't drink, especially in a family setting....It was a polite request and suggestion that he just didn't drink around them...was that out of line? Please no smart remarks-just want honest opinions, maybe from those of you who don't drink or may be in a similiar situation?

I had to cash in some Savings Bonds for a Family Emergency, over $2000 worth, and now I do not know if I need to claim them or not. Do they qualify as a gift since they were from my Grandparents or maybe an inheritance? I really do not want to have to pay the IRS if I do not have to.

I think so.
And I think they should be doing so.
And they have every right and responsibility to do so.

Because this scandal is about Bush/GOP POLITICIZING AMERICAN JUSTICE by requiring US Attorneys to carry out unjustified legal persecutions of numerous Democrat campaign opponents prior to the elections;
and punishing them when they refused to do so.

And the GOPs know it was illegal which is why they tried to cover it up and now aids are "taking the 5th.".

In addition, it is becoming obvious that the GOP used public facilities and money to advance political goals which is also against the law.

That the Democrats happen to lead the government committees required by law to investigate such questionable activities is the result of the people's vote in 2006.

Its a legal/political issue and that nature cannot be erased from it.

So, I fake ate it, and put it in my napkin, and then I had to leave it in the backseat on the way home. Will it stink too much overnight, we have a Prius, and we have carpool in the morning.

Don't say to go get it, we're not allowed out at night.

The current crisis over the UK sailors illustrates exactly why Iran cannot under any circumstances be trusted with nuclear power. Isn't it about time for the international community to accept this and sanction the military removal of their program ?

Incidentally I was against the Iraq invasion, but against this regime and for the protection of the world as we know it, there does seem to be little alternative.

I just went to one in Las Vegas and was treated very badly by the sales people there. Then I read online about a lot of people being cheated by Wyndham/Fairfields points system. I originally thought it was a great idea and might be worth investing, but then after being treated like idiots and having the sales person say "you should slap some sense into her" (referring to my wife), there is no way I would ever purchase anything from these people. Just wanted some comments on owners or others who had similar experience. Thanks.

I would like to think that my experience was the exception, rather than the rule. But several friends have also related unpleasent dealing with the homeless. Here is my story:

I was leaving the grocery store when a disheveled homeless person approached me. Sensing an impending appeal for alms, I swiftly moved towards my vehicle...but as fate would have it the hobo was an agile, sprightly fellow. Fumbling with several grocery bags, I was unable to retrive my keys and enter the car quickly. The vagabond made eye-contact and inquired as to whether I was in possession of any "spare change". My reply: "No sir, my purchase was upon credit, I'm very sorry!"

At this point the vagrant became very agitated and proceded to curse me. Fearing for my safety, I pulled out my trusty .357 handgun and ordered the bum away from the area. He left the vicinity, but not before imparting one last threat: "Y'all be some racist motherf*ckers".

I had my first breast reduction at 15 when I was a 38F. The reduction brought me down to a 38C, but obviously I'd had the surgery too young. My breasts continued to grow, I had twins at age 19, gained some weight, and by 20 was up to 40G. After I was finished breastfeeding, I decided to get another breast reduction. At this point I wanted to lose weight, so the doctor decided to reduce down to a D cup. And after lipo of the upper and lower abdomin and breast reduction, I settled at a 38D. At the age of 23, me and my husband decided to have another child, but 5 months into my pregnancy, the marriage fell apart (he had an affair). My breasts grew again during this pregnancy, but I was able to keep my weight fairly steady. After having my youngest son, I've lost 45lbs (not counting pregnancy weight) and am now a size 10 with 36DD's, and sometimes even the DD's are too small. I'm considering another reduction (to a 36C) and possibly a tummy tuck.

I tried really hard for a long time to follow the bible, and I just can't believe anything in it. Since I don't believe in the Christian god, my becoming a Christian just to save my butt from the hellfire Christians preach to me about would just further condemn me, right? So what is wrong with following my heart before I get sent there?
This is a question for the religious.
