Sounds great but you have to consider that for every dollar you spend the acoustic returns diminish. The advantage you receive is only as good as your perception. There was a study done once that proved for every $1000 you spend over $1,000, the improvement in sound (for an amplifier as an example) would only be .001% so you have to ask yourself if that expense is worth it? See my profile. High price does not equate to anything except extra dollars in the pocket of the dude that sells you the system. What you are quoting is very impressive but frankly you will be wasting a lot of dollars because you will not be able to tell the difference in your ears between a cheaper system and the ultra-system you think you need. Then again, if you have that much money to spend, that is a dream system, though I'd probably listen to other speaker systems than Klipsch. Try JBJ studio monitors. Too bad you can't find some vintage Altec Lansing 604Es or Voice Of The Theaters in their various cabinet configurations...La Scala rocks! Those are awesome! Then if you really want to get fancy go with a magneplanar ribbon system. Contact @ passagerecording @yahoo.com.

I agree with the speakers, except for the sides. I would get the RS-62's, and rear's would be the RB-51's to save a little money. I also would not spend $1000 on cables($700 max). The sub I have not heard, but I personally would go for the SVS Ultra 2 for super loud, tight and deep bass. I also would step down to a cheaper Denon (AVR-3807), use it as a preamp and buy a bad a$$ 5/7 channel amp (200 wpc) from Outlaw or Emotiva, and spend the rest on acoustic room treatment, a good power line conditioner and an HD dvd/Blur-ray player.

Good choices, but not sure why you are spending so much if only listening to music. First, the vast majority of music CDs are not recorded in surround sound. Your receiver only synthesizes surround sound for (most) music. Denon is great (I own one), but if I were only gonna listen to music, I would probably get some high end Marantz or Onkyo separates (maybe only stereo), and the best KEF, Boston Acoustics, or Infinity speakers I could afford. Klipsch is really good, but of course speakers are a matter of personal taste. Listen to KEFs though. Good luck

A very nice setup!, save your $$$ on cables and wires, they are among the worst returns on investment..

www.bluejeanscables.com are great!

I regard to the DVD player the Oppo 981 is the best bang for the buck and provides everything you need with best internals than more expensive ones.

I use Pioneer Elite, Arcam and B&W products with them.

I would strongly recommend to look at Arcam products from England for your reciever, The AV350 is a best buy...

Take a look at B&W 700 Series for speakers.

Finally find a true high end audio store, the gang at Magnolia are not the sharpest sticks when recommending options. They will be able to help you truely find the options for your budget. Plus I paid less on my Pioneer Elite than Bestbuy

speakers B+W all around, the best I could afford for 8000 they have 2 lines that I would look at and figure it out from there

sub Paradigm 1500

Oppo DVD player 250

total cost 16 7500
