As i stare into the sky at night... The moon caught my eye and locked my strare.. However, it is in deep dark orange tinge and not like the normal bright moon I have always seen...

As time passes, it faded into the sky and disappeared for good... What is dis phenomenon called?

that is called a lunar eclipse. It may have been a partial, or it may have been the full lunar eclipse that happened recently.

When the moon was orange, that was when the eclipse was starting. when it slowly disappeared, the earth was passing between it and the sun, causing the sunlight to stop reflecting off it.

(you can still see earthlight reflected off of it so it won't completely disappear)

The Moon, in its orbit around the Earth, is passing the planet Venus interior the gap. that's a common incidence as quickly as a month whilst the Moon passes Venus, and its visual attraction relies upon extra on Venus' orbital action as to whilst that's seen. It demands Venus to be on the edge of optimum brightness interior the western sky, which occurs as quickly as each 583 days (a million.6 years). this would not relate to Earth's 3 hundred and sixty 5 days in any direct way, so it has no longer something to do with the time of three hundred and sixty 5 days.

Sounds almost like a lunar eclipse, but those are rare. Sounds like you're looking at the moon through haze or clouds. Is there smog where you live? That might explain it.
