I have a 4 year old that seems to be headed down the wrong path at age 4. In the past few months things have taken a sharp turn for the worst and I worried about the years to come. He is lying, overly stubborn, and manipulative. I have tried everything nothing seems to help. I have set up boundaries/ rules that have been in place all of his life. Any ideas on books would be helpful. I don’t want smash is sprit but I do want him know that are rules in life that have to be fallowed. Things we have tried are time out, grounding/ taking a way things or privileges and spanking. What else is there? I do give him positive attention when he does has as he was told or when it is warranted.

I really like some of the shoes in the new spring/summer collection at Nordstrom.
I've been through payless, and apart from one or two pairs I don't like them.

Does anyone know any other stores for buying cheap (not more than $45 - $50 for sure) but nice looking shoes?
I'm in Western Washington, so no H&M, Dillards, Charlotte rousse please.

a bit over 3 weeks ago I got a 2 day period. Medium flow (Wasn't as heavy as it ussually is but wasn't as light as spotting) Took a preg test and it came up as Neg. Been getting head aches on and off all month. Been off in the tummy for the past week and a bit, Boobs are sore (They used to get sore but Since my last preg/misscarige 8 months ago They haven't been sore) Got the lumps on my nipples that I don't normaly get, been very grumpy and moody which could be just a normal pmt thing. Last week took a preg test and it came up with a very faint line (Could just be a shadow line) Took another test today which came up neg. I will wait to see what my periods do this month before I take another test but I would like to know peoples opinions on this. Is it just my hormones or would you think there is more to it? I have been TTC for a bit over 3 years and I want it to happen so my judgment is clouded.

I know there has been many discussions about this issue, but it still doesn't help me understand. I'm a Filipino, and there has been a discussion between me and my American friend on whether I'm Asian or not. I consider myself Asian, since my family is telling me I'm Asian and all. But whenever I bring it up to my friend, she says, "You're not Asian! You're just Filipino!" I get so annoyed when she says that.

There's this other friend, who is Chinese, and calls me an "Asian wannabe." That gets me annoyed, too. I don't like being called a wannabe of a race I was told to be during my childhood. There's so much people claiming that Filipinos aren't Asians, that now I don't know what I am anymore.

So I ask you, the Yahoo community: What do you consider Filipinos to be? Or rather, if someone asked me whether I was Asian or not, what would I say?

I'm 19, in university and there is nothing I am good at! I grew up in a small town, spent most of my time alone . Now everything i ever thought I was ok at, it turns out I'm not. I can cook some, I was good in high school math but now I'm about average. I used to like playing music but I started taking lessons really late and when i moved to the city I found out that a few years of practising alone from books mean nothing if I've never played with other people. Plus no one really wants to play with me because I have NO idea what to do. Basically I can't find anything I like and I have nothing to bond with people about, nothing to make me special, nothing to do with my life and I don't know what to do about it!

Had the idea to use student loans to pay for all of my educational costs (tution, room & board, books, etc.) while in school (undergrad, grad, etc) w/deferred payment, and put all the money I earn working part time while in school towards investing (stocks/bonds). Good or bad idea? Any suggustions/advice?

I'm on my own to pay for school, but want to get my retirement funding started sooner than later...figured this would be a good way to do it...especially since I could write-off the student loan payments once I'm making a good income and high returns on my investment returns, lowering the income I have to pay taxes on later, correct?
