Try KLM via Amsterdam, BA or Virgin. Emirates will probably be very expensive.
I've used KLM before and although it is almost 10 hours journey time it was by far the cheapest.

i went via the emirates on my way to south africa last year on Quatar Airways. it was cheaper than BA... but i needed a flight so didn't really compare the market much.
