www.firemountaingems.com is a GREAT site! Also check out ebay because you can find lots of great deals there as well, keep note of the stores and sellers and save them as favorites so you can find them again. I make jewelry as well and get tons of bargains on ebay! You can't always find the same thing twice from the same sellers, but I always find what I'm looking for either there or at Fire Mountain. Ebay is better when you need a lot of an item tho.
Walmart can have some good stuff, I've gotten some great deals there. It depends on what you're looking for and the comparative prices from other craft and online stores. So don't rule out Walmart altogether! LOL
