It could be vitiligo which is a skin condition that usually occurs on both side of the face or body at the same time. This doesn't go away on it's own.
It could be pityriasis alba which is a temporary loss of pigmentation. It sometimes happens after sun exposure but goes away on it's own.
You'll need to see a doctor for a clear diagnosis.

My sister had that a lot time ago and they told her it was a type of fungus. They gave her a cream and it went away.

i think that is caused by not getting enough Calcium. as in MILK! im not sure tho. i would check out:
