Why is it that there are so many obnoxious people?

Why do people feel that it necessary to give stupid responses to simple questions?

I've expierienced this in school, on the interenet, etc...

People always have to give a response that is not logical and does not answer the question at all, just for the sake of looking like they are above everyone. Why?

I hate when these people tell what I can and can't do...They treat me as if I'm stupid. Well, I hate to rain on their parade but even though I'm young, I'm smart enough to see right through them.

anyways.....
i really like this guy, but i don't think he likes me at all. so you could loosely say we're "friends". i just met him this year, so we haven't really gotten close. i'm not quite sure, but i think he likes one of my friends or i've heard. i really want to get closer to him as a friend, but i get kinda nervous around him. not nervous as in stumbling and sweaty. nervous as in i act NORMAL, but i want to show him how funny i can be, my real personality. but whenever he's around i can't seem to say anything else besides school related stuff, like homework and teachers. what should i do?
please, i don't need any criticizism or any kind of insults. just seeking some suggestions =)

Please, I need some help DESPERATELY. DCF is investigating me beacuse my mother made false accusations against me about abusing illegal methadone and smoking pot...We had a big blow out fight, because she let my brother who is 2& a half yrs. older than me move back in with her after his 11 yr. crack habit. He refuses to get clean and he burnt to complete ashes all of the bridges he had. He dosen't want any help and has had 66 convictions as far as the law. He molested me when I was a young girl for yrs, and currently he will do ANYTHING for his crack..He has numerous "Suger daddies" and they are all MEN.I could go on forever talking about his exploits. And I really am trying to make this as short as possible, If you want to know more and are willing to help me then I can tell you some crazy stories..But the bottom line is my mother let him move in after numerous times of saying"He belongs in jail."and"He is dead to me." She told him on the phone, when he tried to call for money to forget about her.. and for years she knows what a crazy person he is..hes 30 now and just got back out of jail 3 months ago and was smokin the first night. Then started burglurizing houses for $ for drugs. He dosent care. And I try to tell her that but she fell for it when he told her he was clean and had nowhere else to go. She let him come there(knowing er and I were close. I dont understand how she can do that to her grandson. Well, we got into a fight and my brother punched me in the face. So I called the police and my mother tried to protect HIM, and accused me of abusing illegal drugs, So they came to my home and seen it was ok and there were no problems there, but he called me back today and said he wants to wrap this up but he needs me to take a drug test..I went numb..I do smoke pot sometimes, Im not gonna lie, and I do take methadone , but its PRESCRIBED. I was in a bad accident. I have never used heroin in my life, but thats what people associate it with. but I had no choice ...I took the test. And I would just like to know if ANYONE has been through anything like this. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE..If you just want to respond to say hurtful things..PLEASE dont..I dont think I can handle that right now. OK..HERES THE WORST PART...Sunday morning around 5am I smoked a joint my cousin because it was her birthday. After we lit the joint she tells me it's her b-day joint and she laced it with coke. I had already taken a big ol' toke. So im definetly worried about that too, I cant believe my own mom did this to me. She was my best friend, I dont get it and I feel like Im loosing my mind.PLEASE HELP!

Has anyone ever heard of a Monogrammed bridal shower before? The theme would be to have your friends and family personalize their gifts with the bride's "new initals." I have lived with my fiance for a yr and a half, and I didn't want the normal shower. We already own a lot of the housewarming gifts you would regularly receive... What do ya think?
