I am an OR tech...during surgery everyone participating in the surgical procedure is sterile..meaning they can not touch anything other than the patient, instruments and other things that are sterile on the field. Usually the only non-sterile person in the OR suite is the OR nurse...who in the event that one of the surgical team memebers were to pass out or die...she would be the first to help that person, and get help..there is always other OR staff in the OR hallways...so, the surgical team doing the surgery would have to continue the surgical procedure on the patient without that team member...I hope this makes sense...

The other doctors would work on the patient; a mortician would work on the doctor.

this could happend an in this case they rush in another doctor there is always nurses onhand outside the surgery unit as well to come in if anything shall go wrong. so if this happend a nurse would run in and do what he or she could do intill the other doctor go there to help and all.

well if he died they would probably let him lay but call for someone to take him but it just depends on what the surgery is for and the current risks on the patient
