Has anyone ever heard of a Monogrammed bridal shower before? The theme would be to have your friends and family personalize their gifts with the bride's "new initals." I have lived with my fiance for a yr and a half, and I didn't want the normal shower. We already own a lot of the housewarming gifts you would regularly receive... What do ya think?

I love love love this idea... I would tell your mom and bridesmaids to give some ideas of places that sell monogramable items. Some cool gifts would be a really cute bridal purse, a travel tote for the honeymoon, even panties would be cute.

I think a cute idea for dessert would be cupcakes with your monogram on them

The fun part about bridal showers is the theme can really be whatever you want it to be.

Be wary however, Monogrammed gifts often cost more than the same item without the monogram. However, if you are up for lots of handmade/handdecorated items it would be tons of fun

That sounds really cool, but what do people usually monogram? Towels, Mickey-mouse hats... handkerchiefs, I understand you don't really need the things that people usually give at bridal showers, but do you really need lots of towels and things?

I like it. I am having a cupcake tower with our monogram on the cupcakes, and our last name initial for a cake topper. That would be nice for the shower, instead of traditional cake.

creative & sounds pretty nice - but don't tell people they Have to do it this way, just write on the invites the theme and explain to anyone who asks what it is about!

Not a great idea. Would only want maybe two towels with our initials on them - nothing else.

I have heard of people doing this, but it might be limiting as to what you are going to get. Towels, bathrobes, trinket boxes, hampers, pens???
