hah that caught some attention....
anyways.....
i really like this guy, but i don't think he likes me at all. so you could loosely say we're "friends". i just met him this year, so we haven't really gotten close. i'm not quite sure, but i think he likes one of my friends or i've heard. i really want to get closer to him as a friend, but i get kinda nervous around him. not nervous as in stumbling and sweaty. nervous as in i act NORMAL, but i want to show him how funny i can be, my real personality. but whenever he's around i can't seem to say anything else besides school related stuff, like homework and teachers. what should i do?
please, i don't need any criticizism or any kind of insults. just seeking some suggestions =)

oh my god, i'm going through the almost exact thing. execpt i've known him for 5 years and i know he doesnt like any of my friends. i never can show him my true self. i can never be the fun girl around him cause i'm so nervous..........but you should just let your hair down and go for it. (this is wat i'd do if i could stop being so nervous.) just pretend that you've known him forever and think of him as you when you're around you're best friend. hey it might just work!

Well then you're not acting normal. Ive had the same problem before... But then I suddenly got the courage to go beyond the "Normal" and asked her if we can start getting to know each ohter more deeply. You know? We've been together now for about four years! Just go for it. What do you have to loose?

Just be calm, take a deep breath, and remember that it's just another person your talking to. It might take a little getting used to, but soon, I promise, you'll start getting more into the conversation and acting normal.

And remember, just clear your mind of all the clutter, focus on the moment.

Ask him a theoretical question that shows some self expression, like what would he do if he won the lottery?

Maybe talk to him with your friends are around so that why your more comfortable and you'll be more likely to act yourself and when you feel more comfortable you can be more confident talking to him alone. that will he will get to see un nevous unschool related you!
