How can we slag the French Irish Scots, Aussies off, but if you do this to an Asian, Jamaican, or Indian it is deemed as rascist, it is a shame that we can not learn to laugh at each other, without been deemed as racsist, and I should know been a Brummie, we get enough stick, but for me I say bring it on, and lets learn to lighten up...

I'm wondering if this is common when you start swimming?

I usually, do the crawl, backstroke and a little of breaststroke.

If my back hurting is due to swimming, does anyone have anything I can do, so I can swim and not be hurting.

we have been 2gether for a yr (next month) but guys call his phone n he says they are old friends n they never call back. Am sure he tells them he has a girlfriend n stop calling. Maybe its something he tried before but he swears he hasnt ever been w/ a male. I called back one of the guys pretending i was his sister n i was curios to whether my brother was gay n he replied..." i havnt met him yet...His always busy...but from what we talked about his confused." He also said he also lied about his apperance completely... So am beginning to think he was confused but now his not. But what if he decides to come out when were already married w/ kids ??

Here we go again with Mexico and the immigration of "cheap labor" for corporate America while we move closer to "slavery"! Bush is on vacation in Mexico selling out the American one more time before he gets impeached!
He was all for "cheap labor" for his corporate cronies, then crossed lines to appease the American people, and now back stepping in Mexico!
These same people claim to be "LEADERS"??? What are they leading us toward?? People in this country better get a back bone and step up to the plate because time is running out!!!!!!
Haliburton is now moving all its assets and corporate offices to the Middle East! United Emigrants ring any bells? Where anyone can go and corporate law doesn't exist? Where there are no extradition policies with the US? Where a company that has questionable actions involving 2.7 billion dollars of "inappropriate" billing? Where the same company that Cheney is a "behind the scenes" man gets "NO BID" government contracts?
How much more folks????????????

I had to take the day off to register my son for school and my boss told me that I have a responsiblity at work and those things should be done on my own time. I work from 9am-6pm. Is it not a law to offer sick day or time off, I have a life too and sometimes I need a day off to take care of my business.

im an ex-vegetarian who struggled on a vegetarian diet for many yrs and have now been forced to eat chicken and fish again for medical reasons.after trying numerous times to remain vegetarian and finnally being so weak,sick and deficient in proten that i nearly killed myself due to my ideals,but still i have veggie people accuse me of being brainwashed by the meat industry or that there is no reason for eating meat,or saying that killing animals for food is wrong.What if u were so sick u HAD TO EAT MEAT TO REGAIN STRENGTH IS THAT WRONG???IF U SAY YES THEN U NEED HELP,im so tired of having my posts removed from vegan sites,or having veggie people try to debate with me its hard enough to change without the harrassment and the pain!

So a friend of mine went to U-haul a few days to rent a trailer. When he got there, they would not attach it because U-haul policy will not allow them to attach a trailer to a Ford Explorer...not Fords, but just the Ford Explorer.

Anyone have any clue why? This is just ridiculous.

Small apartment, single guy with a techie lifestyle and tastes that lean a little too IKEA-ey. I'm having trouble with making a particular corner of my apartment "interesting" enough for people to gravitate towards it when I have a bunch of friends over. It's what's supposed to be the eating nook of the place--an extension of the kitchen, linoleum floor, five-foot window overlooking the street outside (but usually with curtains closed for privacy), I'd say no more than 7' by 7'--kitchen to the north, white wall to the south, window to the east, living room to the west. There's a table, nothing fancy, black with silver legs, rectangular, about 4 by 3, a pair of equally spartan chairs.

Any tips to what I can put there (like on the table or on the wall) to make it more people-friendly, without making it look too, um, "girly" (i.e., a vase of living flowers is not the answer)? I'd also rather not buy new furniture, but I guess I could paint the table a friendlier color...

i'm seriously getting frustrated with her. i've known her for forever, since she was 2 and i was 4. i'm now 25. she went to college down at virginia tech, we're both from the dc area. she's been dating this girl for about 4 years now, i've even been asked to be the maid of honor in their wedding. well, she has really been slacking in the friend department lately. first she hardly comes to visit anymore, and if she does, she either stays in maryland so she can go out partying, or she shows up at 11pm, knowing i have work at 9 the next morning, so i usually have to go to bed at 1-2am the latest. then she gets me this cheap xmas present when i spend 100 on her AND her girlfriend, and she doesnt even get my bf anything (we've been dating 4 years, so he's not just some new guy). but i know for a fact that her girlfriend is a manager at a sub shop and she has a full time job, and their own house, so its not like they are broke.
