How can we slag the French Irish Scots, Aussies off, but if you do this to an Asian, Jamaican, or Indian it is deemed as rascist, it is a shame that we can not learn to laugh at each other, without been deemed as racsist, and I should know been a Brummie, we get enough stick, but for me I say bring it on, and lets learn to lighten up...

OY! I just think that grogging others sometimes bregulates the Farknarbles that we oink it to.

It doesn't necessarily mean that you're racist, only that you enjoy the occasional warble every now and fronk.

I remember calling a Peitite a Diskahaeben, and she was Rizzled! All I know is that I'll try and be more contra from now on.

well it is easy to say that but what is logical is not always the right thing. It is OK to make fun of somebody as long as it is not condescending. Further more don't make fun of people you have oppressed, enslaved, used the nuclear bomb on or launched wars against because they are not in the mood for laughing and they cant lighten up. I hope that the USA would lighten up on being the police of the world.

It's not racism 'cause the French, Irish, Scots, and Aussies are mostly the same race, but a diffeent nationality.

It is bigotry of a different vein.

I know what you are saying, but some people will start taking the whole "slagging thing" to another level--- a degrading and racist level.

If you and your friends of other ethnicities are comfortable with "slagging" then go ahead. But remember, to only say those jokes with your friends, not just to anyone.

Everybody is different, besides, the french, Irish and Scots are all Caucasians!

Besides, What makes you assume that blacks, for example, do not slag each other? we just don't do it in the presence of other races.

I think it is deemed racism when it goes solely by the colour of a persons skin. Xenophobia is much more tolerated because it is seen as part of being patriotic and instills the old us against them ideology. People born in this country however and who consider themselves to be british can be the victims of hatred simply because of the colour of their skin which is definately not on!

Well, my definition of racism is if its said to promote hatred or to show hatred. If its only someone having a laugh without meaning any ill feeling, then I think we need to lighten up on it. But its a fine line.
