Hi,
without merely giving you my view on the two games (assuming you mean 'American Football' and 'soccer'-known more accurately as 'football' throughout the rest of the world) which would do nothing except throw another personal choice into the mix. I would offer an reasoned argument...
American football (and I am a part-time fan) is a game of great technical skill played by three specialist sections of players, attack, defense and kicking, whose aim is to carry or throw the ball into the end zone to earn a 'touchdown' It is a VERY specialised game and although the playing time is only 60 minutes, the game can, and does last often three hours because of all the 'timeouts', changes of specialist teams etc. that make up the game. If you believe that the sheer aggression of the 'combat' on the field and the tension that can be built into the last couple of minutes or even seconds, then American football is the game for you.
The very large, very strong, very fast men who play this sport professionally are often an attraction, too.
If however, you prefer a game of great skill where the ball is, generally played with the feet (or head) and is continuous action from start (kick-off) to finish (final whistle) and whose aim is to kick or head the ball into a guarded net area to score 'goals', then soccer is the best game for you.
The players of this game, generally, will have more stamina than the American game players, as they have to play for 90 minutes continuously (with a 15 minute 'half-time' break)
But, honestly the 'best' game is the one you enjoy most...after all, millions of people watch both games during the season and millions more watch games such as baseball, cricket, polo, horse racing, motor racing and even table tennis. ALL these 'games' are 'best' for those fans.
Don't worry about which is considered 'best' by others, make your own mind up which you enjoy watching or playing most...that one is the 'best'.
Cheers,
BobSpain

Well, seeing how they are the same game, I would have to say they are equally brilliant.
If you mean American football or soccer, then in my own personal opinion, soccer (football) is miles and miles better than American football.

SOCCER... I'm so tired of hearing soccer is gay, soccer is for pansies, football is manly.... you know what... soccer is just as much- if not MORE- of a CONTACT sport as football... LOOK at american football players- COVERED in pads, equipment, helmets... we havein gaurds... that's IT!!! you have to take the hit and keep running... I AM american and I'm not saying I don't like football... I love it- I was RAISED in it. I PLAY IT FOR CHRIST'S SAKE!!! But i play soccer to and I can HONESTLY tell you it's a CHALLENGE... PEOPLE- PLEASE don't make fun of a sport that most of you don't even UNDERSTAND... learn stuff about if you don't like it- that's you... just don't mock other people for the sports they LOVE

american football is the best. there is no way a person would rather play soccer over a game of tackle football.
