After teaching college courses, I got a job in a GED program offered through a college. As a trained researcher (and using common sense), I discovered the following from the most reputable educational research studies: 1% of people who finish their GED ever get an Associate's degree (not even a B.A.); there is virtually no economic benefit for those who get a GED even five years after they've got it. It might make people feel some self-esteem but the self-esteem is gone after two months. These facts have been known for 20 years. Everyone who works in this program acts rah-rah with a 'you can do it' attitude, and the students are not told the GED by itself is basically worthless. When I showed the staff the research, they called me a cynic, or just laughed. Are they brainwashed, deluded, in a state of denial, fools, or just want to save their asses? I feel like I'm in a 1950's sci-fi movie. Is this par for the course (pun intended)?

This has been going on for over a year now. I have caught my step-daughter touching my sons penis and even more then that. She ask him to touch her also. She is 9 and he is 6.
My husband and I have sat them both down and explained in a way that wouldn't hurt them as an adult about the subject.
The other day, I discovered that my son was under the bed, while my step daughter was foundlying him. I am out of answers, we have told them that this has got to stop, and she just wont. I feel that I watch them like a hawk all the time. I have set boundiers, nothing has worked. We now have seperated them, she is at her grandmothers until we can come up with a soliution. I feel she is just way to young to be doing this, she has even been in trouble at school for kissing boys on the playground.
Any suggestions would be helpful.

I have a HUGE fear of downing.
In the school pool my mates "Horse Play" by drowning each other for a while. I hate this sooo much and I cannot hold my breath very long, I start to panic. I am really afraid they will take this too far, as they do not care. I told they I hate it, but this just makes it more fun for them when I put up a struggle.
I am going to spain with them and in the beach I am afraid that without Adult supervision they will severly drown me. I have nightmares about it, they goin too far.
I am 15. What would you do in this situation? Talking to them will not work... HELP!

I have hepatitis a, I found out like 5 years ago, and the doctor said there was nothing to worry about that I couldnt spread it to anyone, and that it was a very low test result and eventually it would go away. So I forgot about it, but then I was reading online you can pass it through sexual intercourse and that it will never go away. So am I diseased now?

Ok i am 19 an my husband is 21 an about 7 months ago we got pregnant. I was about 3 months when i had a miscarage it was on Oct 10 i know what caused it i have endometryosis. So after the miscarage i had a laporoscopy on Jan 17. An now all we can think about is having a baby thats all we want! I went to my DC an she said i ovulate on the Feb 27 so we had sex on that day. We were told to try that hole month an if it don't work, she wants to put me on fertility pills this month But i'm scared i only want one baby an was told there is a chance of multiple births with the pill. I already have a chance of twins my mom is a twin! So if you have any advice on my situation please write to me an help me!!

Alright. I was with this girl for 2 years and I treated her pretty well and she broke up with me for someone else. I initiated no contact about 3 weeks ago and I think it is driving her nuts. So here it goes. Last night I recieved a phone call on my cell phone at 3 in the morning from some guy that I don't even know. Apparently he called me just to tell me that my ex was drunk and that she hooked up with somebody last night. Then he said that, "I don't like people that treat girls like crap" and he was trying to make it look like I was trying to pick a fight with him and the only reaction he got out of me was, "thats nice....it's 3 in the morning and i'm going back to bed". What I want to know is why my ex won't just leave me alone? I gave her the space she wanted and I have left her alone, so why is she sending me text messages trying to be my friend and then having someone call me at 3 in the morning? If she really cared about her new guy then why am i even in the picture?

I like to sing, and I can write music too. I just don't like to show my music to other people because I'm afraid they will laugh at me. And I know that I have a good voice, but everytime I sing in public, I chicken out and sing badly on purpose. I'm just embaressed basicaly. I need advice.
