Ok i am 19 an my husband is 21 an about 7 months ago we got pregnant. I was about 3 months when i had a miscarage it was on Oct 10 i know what caused it i have endometryosis. So after the miscarage i had a laporoscopy on Jan 17. An now all we can think about is having a baby thats all we want! I went to my DC an she said i ovulate on the Feb 27 so we had sex on that day. We were told to try that hole month an if it don't work, she wants to put me on fertility pills this month But i'm scared i only want one baby an was told there is a chance of multiple births with the pill. I already have a chance of twins my mom is a twin! So if you have any advice on my situation please write to me an help me!!

thank you
heather

Ur both so young, and have already been pregnant. There is no way in hell u should take fertility pills all ready. I think it is a good rule of thumb to try to get pregnant for a year on your own before thinking about getting help from a doctor. It took my wife and i 7 months to get pregnant.

I highly recommend charting your fertility signs. Your chart can tell you when you are fertile, when you are not, when you are ovulating, when to expect your next period, and when to suspect pregnancy. Your chart can also tell you if there are issues delaying conception or causing difficulty w/ carrying a pregnancy and if there are serious issues which need a doc's attention.

DON'T have any invasive testing or take ANY fertility drugs w/o charting for at least a couple of months. Docs are very quick to prescribe medications and testing. Many "infertility" cases are really issues w/ the cycle and many can be solved at home. ALL fertility medications carry risks. Even a single round of clomid carries an increased risk of reproductive cancers later. Plus, clomid can dry up the cervical fluid needed to nourish the sperm before ovulation and shorten the luteal phase, so either actually PREVENTING pregnancy or causing and early miscarriage sometimes.

Some good sources for charting your fertility signs: Fertilityfriend.com (free software as well as a pay-for version and on-line charting turorial); ovusoft.com (discussion boards for many fertility related issues, much info on fertility after the pill, and a very good software for purchase). The books Taking Charge of Your Fertility (associated w/ the the ovusoft website and software), The Art of Natural Family Planning, and Garden of Fertility

Alot of times doctors will say to count like 10 days from the start of your period and have sex every other day for the next two weeks.. not everyday because it will decrease his sperm count.. but other than counting the days.. (this may sound a little gross) but after your period sometime you will have a day or two where you'll have a white mucus discharge.. its normal, and thats the day your ovulating .. so get in the bedroom!! I did that and am now 8 months pregnant.
