For me, there is no place like NY. I grew up there and lived there until I was 31. I lived in Queens and loved the hustle and bustle of the city. I would go into Manhatten and spend the day in SOHO by myself shopping, starting at age 15. I loved that I could go anywhere by subway.
In the summer my family and I would escape to the Adirondack mountains. We would go camping for 3 weeks in the summer. It's hard to believe when you're up there, that you're still in NY...so full of mountains, forests, lakes, and wildlife. It's one of the places I miss the most since I moved south. NY has it all.

It's just the most fab place on earth. The minute I start walking through the streets, I know I'm in heaven, lol. The buildings are spectacular and the shops, well, I've never done shopping like it in my whole life. I bought a T-Shirt from Bloomingdales, which I've never taken out of it's bag, for fear it might get spoiled. Unfortunately I couldn't buy anything from Tiffany's, cause I couldn't afford it! But to know that I was actually shopping of 5th Ave, was mind blowing. Not forgetting the wow factor when I first stepped foot into The Trump Tower. So ok, the City is smelly, dirty and loud and the people walk along in a world of their own. But as soon as you approach a New Yorker for some help, they are extremely friendly and helpful. Then of course there's the restaurants, oh and Broadway, oh and of course Central Park, The Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty. I could go on, but I'll run out of room!
